Not really Diego, Arsenal are nearer to the relegation zone than they are to the top of the Premier League, the same can't be said of "Liverpool's position then" can it.:emoticon-0100-smile

    Good luck with that <ok>

    #Kloppforlife = no more trophies.

Jumped ship as soon as things got hard (geggenpress got found out)

Nearly got the second best team in a two team league relegated until he announced he was leaving and the team started playing again.

A manager who's ex-players refuse to sign for him again at another club as has been shown on a couple of occasions.

Would not go back to players who have played for him before because he wants new challenges (they would tell him where to go)

This is one of the rare occasions you have been right in you guesswork, well done

Very true, but they are still a good solid top 6 team just like Liverpool :emoticon-0105-wink:

    What's with the "top 6"?
If Arsenal were lower than 6th would you shoe in whatever position they're in into your comment?
Liverpool(this season)are a good top 4 team, 10 points clear of 6th, 6th don't qualify for European competition, therefore your comment is weak in terms of wum power.:emoticon-0165-muscl

Because 6th to 7th is where the real gap is, you don't really see 7th caching 6th but can quite easily imagine 6th catching 5th based on the differences in quality of the teams/squads.

So you think a 10 point gap is easier to surpass than an 8 point gap?, Arsenal have lost as many games as Burnley this season and have conceded 15 more goals than Burnley, I'd say quality of squad doesn't come into it, Arsenal (at least this season)in the league are more in Burnley's bracket than the club's above them.

No confidence at all in Wenger, he is finished. I do have a bit of confidence that the Arsenal team/squad can stay in touch with the top 5 whilst pulling away slightly from Burnley.

All banter aside, yep Wenger is finished but the Arsenal owners are afraid of change, they have enough quality to finish above Burnley but they will struggle to catch Chelsea imo because they are lower than a snakes belly in terms of confidence, their game against Brighton on Sunday will show if they've got the stomach left for a fight.

Strachan putting smarmy arsed Shreeves in his place about the Arsenal crowd booing Wenger.

GORDON STRACHAN AND GEOFF SHREEVES EXCHANGE IN FULL
Geoff Shreeves: 'I don't know if you've ever experienced being booed off?'

Gordon Strachan: 'Ah listen... I don't know where you get these things from. People who say or the first thing you get asked after the game 'the crowd booed' as if that's something new. That's happened since I was at Dundee as a kid years ago. If you don't play well they boo.

'And also the games they play on television they'll turning the booing up just a wee bit to make it...

    Shreeves: 'Now, now.'

Strachan: 'We'll just turn it up that wee little bit. There's a 100 people in there booing.'

    Shreeves: 'Don't be cynical...'

Strachan: 'I am being cynical because the world is cynical because we know how that happens. Booing's nothing.'

Shreeves: 'That's more than 100 people.'

Strachan: 'How would you know you weren't even there.'

Shreeves: 'Is it worse, though, when it turns to apathy?'

Strachan: 'That's worse. When you get booed and there's people shouting and screaming you're like 'right'... but apathy is the one where you go 'I'm in trouble here because I can't even get that reaction.

'Even if they are screaming, booing or throwing shirts. But when you walk off and there's nothing happening and people are walking away early. There might only be 100 people there booing but it doesn't count anymore because he's been hit that much. It doesn't really affect him anymore.'

    Well done Gordon.<laugh>

    Clearly a complete messy melt.

Given klopp was 7 years at Dortmund and 7 at Mainz getting "found out" is a drunken rany.

    Sad really.

    IMHO :

    True mid-table is finishing 10th.
The mid-table band is finishing 7-13th.

A mid-table club regularly finishes in that band,
and closer to true than to 6th or 14th.

Liverpool have positioned themselves superbly under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp to begin an era of sustained success.

That's the hope as the Anfield club today reveal their latest financial results - with profits up to £39million due to increase TV renues.

The Reds look set to secure another season in the Champions League with a top four finish within their grasp, not to mention taking up the role as dark horses in this season's competition having all but secured their place in the quarter-finals after a 5-0 first leg win over Porto.

Whilst Philippe Coutinho was allowed to leave, for a British record £142m, big money has already been plowed back into the club with Virgil van Dijk joining from Southampton for £70m.

The latest financial figures show how FSG have guided the club into an excellent position off the pitch too - here are five things we learned from the latest results.
