"Liverpool are also making a significant investment in improving sports facilities for the local community. This includes new football pitches, new changing rooms, enhanced landscaping and tree planting, safe pedestrian, dog walking and cycle paths, as well as car parking."
The point wasn't who could post the most pictures - it was about your 'catching up' comment. We're leaving a better facility than you currently have to go even better
Voted for by who like and based on what criteria? It doesn’t hold a candle to FF hence the reason you’re leaving it, as it’s way out of date and small by current top grade standards
Phew. Anyone would think it held some weight. I can find 3 more with FF and not a mention of Melwood..
Melwood underwent a massive refurbishment and is now a state of the art facility. The reason for the move is to combine the academy with the first team and Klopp wants more office space
Behave yourself ffs FF is 55 acres with 10 full size pitches including an exact replica of the Goodison pitch which now has stands. It’s state of the art throughout. Melwood has 3...... You’re moving because it’s on prime building land and you need an upgrade as it’s way out of date in terms of its overall offering.
Well that extra pains why FF is on 3 x me re lists than Melwood. Must have been before the refurbishment.
OK so yesterday after PJS wrote we needed to 'catch up' I did a quick google [''Melwood - comparison - training grounds - premier league'']not expecting in a million years to find anything much at all. Imagine my surprise when the very first hit was 5 Most Impressive Training Grounds in the Premier League - city, Sunderland, utd, Liverpool, Southampton. And that's as much research as I did The reason for the move, which they've resisted so long probably because of sentimentality, is to amalgamate the academy with the first team. It's been talked about by managers since Houllier's days. He oversaw Clairfontaine [spl] and some in the club wanted the same at Kirkby. It's been resisted but now it's happening.
10 full size pitches and zero football being played on them under Fat Sam When does FF get an exact replica of the BM pitch?
Imagine my surprise when doing another quick check and Everton are in lists with the real big clubs, not just Sunderland.
