He is absolutley awful, cant score all he does is run around like a headless chicken, thats his only benefit to the team and thats hardly a benefit, he now is merely in the team to make up the numbers...

Time for players like Sammi to take his place. I know we are low on strikers but I hope he leaves, Id rather play a midfielder in his position, hell play Perch there (he cant do aany worse then LB), thats how much I rate him!!!!

No, the ref was, but Lover was the worst Newcastle player on the pitch

  6. He had a **** game, i'd still keep him. Ba was much worse, along with Gosling and Simmo.

Iv heard Ba is on Ramadan so may explain his bad performance partly. I just think youth must be above Lover, so whats the point keeping him...Surely considering how much MA loves reducing the wage structure, they can release Lover and Smith instead of Barton, Enrique and Nolan!!

agree with OP. its a waste of time playing him, offers very little, getting on so obviously wont improve. he's been awful for a while now - starting him is basically hampering the likes of vuckic, sameobi etc progression. poor vuckic -the C cup should be his competition atleast, he is 18/19 now so should be starting in these kind of games. im sure he started our caling cup games last season and he is a yr older now. thought he did very well when he came on tho. <ok>

to be fair to gosling he is back from a long term injury.. even though hes played a few, it may take him a few more games to be playing at his best... fair enough marveaux put in a performance tonight but i think its a bit easier for a flair player like that to shine. i wouldnt put too much grief on him

    Ba never had a chance
    Lover was worse than Ba
Gosling got better near the end

Everyone was poor in the first half.

Ba was hopeless, Best worked a little harder to get the ball but blasted well over and wide too often.
Gosling i wanted to do well, but he seamed to waste the ball too much.
I thought both full backs had poor games, but i'll let Taylor off for that freekick...
Krul made some fantastic saves to keep us in the tie, but his distribution was AWFUL.
Lovenkrands was mostly a passenger throughout the game, but wasnt the worst player on.

    Improved a lot second half.

I think Lovenkrands will leave once our Number 9 comes in. He had good chances in the 2nd half today and failed to take them. He wont get that many chances in the PL and the opposition today are probably the worst we will play this season. I hear Rangers were interested in him earlier so he may leave.

He was ****ing awful tonight. He's useless most of the time but does pop up with the odd goal. Get rid next summer.

Simpa (as i insist on calling him) was ****ing dreadful, nothing new there. New RB should be almost as much of a priority as a new LB

He may be fasting, but that performance by Ba was amongst the worst I've seen any player make for NUFC. He played the opposition striker onside for the goal, but this was the tip of the iceberg. He is unbelievably clumsy and has the worst first touch I've ever seen. He makes Shola look graceful.

For his sake, I hope he starts scoring again soon, as he has little else in his game other than a good goals record.

Pretty surprising, considering the way I see it, Raylor's been pretty much equally solid at LB as compared to Simmo(may even be better considering simmo's crazy error towards the end that almost lost it if not for Krul), and even offers more in attack. Hopefully Raylor's form continues......till May...
