    Barclays Premier League
    Date - Saturday 3 March 2018
    Kick off - 15.00
    Venue - Liberty Stadium
    Referee - Martin Atkinson

Following their disappointing 1-4 defeat away at Brighton last Saturday, next up for Carlos Carvalhal's Team in the PL is the visit of fellow strugglers, West Ham.

Carvalhal learned a nasty lesson last Saturday when he reverted to a flat back 4 and saw his men put to the sword in the second-half, much like Paul Clement experienced when he did likewise against Man United early in the season.

Hopefully, when he next decides to go for broke - and throw all his meat on the barbecue - he will remember to keep strong at the back.

Whilst the Swans were losing to Brighton, West Ham were on the receiving end of exactly the same 1-4 scoreline at Anfield.

The visitors were not particularly confident in possession unless Marko Arnautović was involved, the maligned striker with the Rhydian haircut. Twice he nearly scored out of nothing, first with a delightful chip which rebounded off the cross bar and then with a dipping shot from 25-yards which Loris Karius did well to save.

The Swans and the Hammers have met on 62 occasions previously, with the Swans winning 18, drawing 15 and losing 29.

In the corresponding match last season (on Boxing Day 2016), which turned out to be Bob Bradley's final game in charge of the Swans, West Ham ran out comfortable 4-1 winners.

Former Swans forward Andre Ayew - now of course re-signed by the Swans - pounced on Lukasz Fabianski's fumble to put the visitors ahead, before Winston Reid headed in from a corner to double their lead.

Michail Antonio added a third and, although Fernando Llorente scored late on for Swansea, Andy Carroll's firm strike sealed a convincing West Ham victory.

That defeat meant that Swansea remained second from bottom, four points adrift of safety. For Bradley, a seventh defeat from his 11 matches in charge, meant that the American was in grave danger of losing his job less than three months after his appointment - and thankfully, he was put out of his misery the next day.

Turning to this coming Saturday, A
ngel Rangel (groin), Renato Sanches (thigh), Wilfried Bony (ACL) and Leroy Fer (foot) are all out for Swansea, although Leon Britton could be back in contention.

Patrice Evra should be fit to ease West Ham's defensive concerns after suffering a nasty shin injury against Liverpool, although Swans fans will be delighted that
Andy Carroll is out with a broken foot, while Pedro Obiang (knee) remains out for the season. Arthur Masuaku is still serving a six-game ban for spitting.

In many respects, this is a must win game - at the very least, a must not lose game - for both sides. My heart says that the Swans will avenge last season's home defeat and run out 3-1 winners; my head, however, says that the game will finish 2-2.

Carlos has asked for the fans to make a difference. If the players started moving the ball forward more quickly it may generate a bit of excitement :emoticon-0148-yes:

TBF it's a two way street. Our support is rarely half decent and I keep looking back at CP who have come back from the dead in ways that would impress Lazarus. Their fans never stop making a positive noise throughout games and it rubs off.
I mentioned it before but who would want to play in front our whiners?

Need to show our team want it more and chase everything down and hope someone has thier scoring boots on !
Carlos got to keep it up and not let the honeymoon period end prematurely.
    2-1 to us.

Disagree - if that were the case most teams would rarely be supported.
Fans must show support during games no matter what.

I just cant get excited about players passing the ball back and forth.
Attack attack attack....give us something to cheer about something to get excited about.
But,I take your point on board.Everyone to their own.

    Game on?
While the pitch may be OK the weather could reduce the crowd significantly.
Possible the police will step in to postpone it on grounds of safety.

Weather forecast is for temp to rise and rain tomorrow.
Mind you the same forecasters forecast heavy snow and blizzards for Swansea which we did not have.

I was thinking more of fans from outside the City area and WHU supporters.
But if the immediate area is clear there won't be a problem.
