    Personally don’t think Lasogga is overweight, a unit certainly but not fat. Not mobile enough to shut defenders down all game but always looking for an opportunity.

    Started great and then, undoubtedly went rapidly downhill, maybe the baby and missus in Germany was tough, personally think TC not getting players up in support (too cautious) killed his game. When it wasn’t working and people started getting on his back he looked like he didn’t want to be here and who could blame him?

    Ipswich away we were certainly down to ten and maybe already losing?? when he came on but I said to Ben, don’t know why but PML was suddenly all over it and eager - ran Pablo close for our MOTM. For me, he has been excellent ever since.

    Re-watch Bristol City at home and Sheffield United away and see them storm our full backs trying to get crosses in. If he played for either of those teams I think he would be seen as far too good for this division. He hasn’t the pace to beat a man and create his own chances but play a more adventurous, attacking game and getting crosses in and I would love him to stay. On that note, maybe that is why I don’t rate Alioski as much as others, for a winger (either side) he doesn’t beat people and get crosses in, neither do any of our full backs but see what happens when Pablo swings a few crosses in.

    Lasogga back to goal will struggle, Lasogga with ammunition to feed off? Be careful we don’t rue letting him go!

    I agree when people say he needs to be 'fed' but he does the most important thing and that is he has the ability to put the ball in the goal. Find it odd how most drool over Ekuban because of his pace when he actually hasn't scored a goal yet (and missed some very good chances) but complain PML is slow and needs the ball to feet to score. Simple, if he is very good at scoring get players in that can get the ball to him in scoring positions (which he takes up a lot) <ok>

    Seems a good idea, but jeez can we all make attempts to get along?

    I’ve tried loads of sites and this one has some good football commentary (now and then ;) ) and some very very funny comments. It would be a shame if egos allow it to implode

    He’s actually very good. If he was fast too (and he never will be) he’d be way out of our league at the present time

    If we're talking end product, Alioski has as many assists as Saiz. But no-one ever criticises him, do they? I do. He's a point of discussion often where we sit in L31, and it's always the same view - end product is not what it should be. The number of times he takes on a man too many! Interestingly, I believe that Eck has picked up on this by saying recently that he can't coach his skills, but he can coach him to be a better team player. I'm really looking forward to that. Btw, it's constructive criticism on my part, 'cos I love watching his runs - even with the poor end product. If it was all about end product, it would be dreadful to watch. You need entertainment & excitement, and he certainly gives us that. I also have to give credit to Alioski & Saiz's defensive ethic. They still create despite tackling back. Not so sure you can say that about Pablo. It seems to be alien to him, and apparently needs to get his arse kicked to do it. I don't think that will ever change, but I'd still keep him!

      Came. Across this

      A message to ALL football fans, regardless of which club you follow;

      Blackpool Supporters Trust has recently created a government petition with the following aim;

      The Government must introduce an independent regulator for English football. We urge the Government to introduce an independent regulator for English football, charged with ensuring the highest possible standards of governance for all clubs.

      The troubles we have endured at Blackpool FC during the Oyston ownership are well documented and make unbelievable reading, which has culminated in the Oystons being made to pay Valeri Belokon over £30m.

      Blackpool FC has become a by-word in the football community for mismanagement and crisis, and yet after a period several years, nothing has been done. The EFL shows no sign that it understands what its leadership role in this area should be, and as it clearly can’t - or won’t - rise to the challenge, then we feel that the Government must step in to lead the process of fundamental reform that is clearly needed.

      Blackpool is not the only club in such circumstances. Other 'crisis' clubs include AFC Wimbledon, Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers, Cardiff City, Charlton Athletic, Coventry City, Fulham, Leyton Orient, Leeds United.

      Football clubs are too precious and too much a part of the fabric of our national life, to be left to the mercy of unregulated and often unscrupulous ownership. They need the protection of a robust regulatory framework that offers a range of sanctions against wrongdoers, mechanisms that allow problems to be confronted before they become deep-rooted and a governing body that has the desire to use it.

      As football fans, I would ask that you join us in trying to bring about change within the game and hopefully prevent future owners from loading clubs with debt, asset stripping and running clubs into the ground.

      We are all fans and we should stick together to ensure the clubs we love are owned and managed properly.

      The petition can be found here – https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/213108

      Thank you all for your support and if you have Twitter, please feel free to tweet this or add on Facebook - get this message out there!! If you are a member of your club's fans forum, please post this on there for us to spread the word - we as fans are all in this together.

    Can't see this getting very far, too much money in football to have a truly independent regulator

    Just making a point mate, I think it hit the spot. I've gone for Leeds by a goal. I think PH has been able to understand what he has inherited. Generally I don't think it's too bad an inheritance with the exception of the goal keeper. That's not to say their isn't room for improvement just it's not hard to spot that we could probably do with better goalkeeping.

    WJ, great to see you posting again. I personally ignore assist stats, depends on who you are assisting as the goal needs to be scored, I'm sure the assists for the player alongside Harry Kane is far higher than anyone. As for alioski, I still think there might be a decent player in there if heckybum can stop the dying routine in his game

    I believe we paid more or less the same for both. I think if we sold them the fees would be in different orbits and rightly so.

    Something about Alioski tells me he should be a good player, everything I see in Saiz tells me he is.

    Time will tell, let’s hope they’re both superstars (for us) next season.

    I just think (and I don't know why - q glory sending me the tambourine) that they will give us one more season even though we won't go up this year.
