Catch two ferries, visit the Museum Quarter etc

Visit the Hull 2017 COC site for more detailed info.

Do they have a mustard museum in Norwich?

On a scale of 1-10, how interesting is that?

Agreed, it is difficult to visit Hull's museum quarter when in Hull.

They do have a cathedral, started before there was a Wyke on Hull and completed a century before it became Kingston Upon Hull, which was the tallest structure in the world since the Great Pyramid at Giza was built and remained the tallest one built until the construction of the Eiffel Tower.

Presumably there is less to do in London, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle etc as well as they get larger crowds.

Don't think you can go for an afternoon around Norwich Marina. You cannot get to see the 'greatest sport in the world' either, unless Norwich have a rugby league franchise pending ?

The last part is something preferable in Norwich then.

You can take a boat into Norwich. There is a large marina on the outskirts. They have a castle to look round unlike Hull. When there plenty to do. Not bad for a city with half the population of Hull. Yet with a smaller population and plenty to do they still get a full stadium every week.

Norwich had over 40 million day visitors in 2016. It was the sixth most visited city in England. Hull had 5.3 million, which Geraghty describedvas a marvellous achievement.
Hull doesn't give the number of hotel nights, unlike Norwich, for that year.
That was for a normal year. Be interesting to see how the figures compare for COC year.

Plenty to see and do here. https://www.richardsonsboatingholid...iting-norwich-norfolk-broads-boating-holiday/

Biggest market, big retail centre. Not bad for a city half the size of Hull although with a bigger football club.
With their 40million day visitors in 2016 compared to Hulls 5.3 million do you think 8 times more went there because there was less to see and do?

I was there as recently as this season to watch City, the main street was mainly boarded up and we had to walk over a mile to find a pub, which was a **** hole. They have a half decent river front but the developed part is about 200 yards long, nothing to see there IMO, Alan Partridge had the right idea but spoke highly of the pedestrianisation of Norwich City centre, be nice when its finished, same as the castle.

I am sure you will be able to provide some sort of evidence to prove that but it does seem an extremely large amount of people to visit Norwich in 1 year.

Just google tourism figures for Norwich in 2016. And for Hull to get a comparison.

I think those tourist numbers are a bit exaggerated
Nearly 800,000 a week and they've got boarded up shops all over.
    It would be permanent gridlock.
Good attempt at pulling our City down " AGAIN " Though.
I' sure you will be back for numerous attempts though

Just balancing the comments insular people make about the only reason other clubs in smaller cities get larger crowds than us is that there is nothing to do there rather than admit more people there may be interested in the club.
There are boarded up shops all over Hull. Though I bumped into someone I haven't seen for years a while back who has been living in Spain for years. He had just been to see his son who has started a business in Norwich. He was quite enthusiastic about the place. I'm off to Norfolk later in the year so will pop into Norwich and form my own opinion as I haven't been for years and never got far from Carrow Road when I did.

The 40 million is a guesstimate at the number of visitors to the County of Norfolk, which includes the Broads and Great Yarmouth, I would expect those to account for the bulk of the visitors.

I have to say I’m surprised this didn’t get more likes. I never have nor never will say anything wittier.

Think there was an element of "Me, look at my wit" about it tbh.

Without doubt, but doesn’t that apply to 90% of the posts on here?

I’m surprised HIGNFY haven’t been in touch to be honest.
