Was visited in my business by Terri Hatcher from Superman / desperate housewives. Didn’t have a Danny who she was until people started nudging me saying ‘d’ya know who that is?’ She was nice enough, but didn’t really think wid tbh
I forgot about him. Yeah I played with him about 10 years ago. His agent was a right little fat ****. He came into the changing rooms and started moving bags about whilst telling some of our players to move so 'Lee' could have space to sit down and get changed.
I've got to that age when I've started to forget things. In 1993 I moved permanently to South London, where the wife is from. We settled in Crystal Palace and started drinking in the local pubs. I got to drinking in one pub with a good regular crowd and this bloke 'Micky' would come in and say hello and try and cadge a drink or two. He could be pretty far gone and always short of funds but everyone was very tolerant of him and treated him well. I didn't recognise him and didn't get it until I was told...."That's Mickey Finn....you know, T Rex, Mickey Finn." We bought him numerous drinks over the next 10 years, until he died about 15 years ago. Cheers Mickey.
You'll have to be pretty old to remember this fella. I used to deliver his papers. please log in to view this image
She had a tracksuit and baseball cap on. I got talking to her about Los Angeles as she said she lived there. I was like 'Where in LA do you live', she said 'Oh I've got a couple of places in the hills and one in downtown' and I was thinking 'she must be minted'. Then my colleague started nudging me furiously with that 'do you know who it is ?!' look ... lol
Back in the amateur days my old man was manager of Wasps so got to know quite a few of the stars (Rob Andrew, Nigel Melville, Lawrence Dalaglio etc.)pretty well. Trained with Melville once and gave him a try scoring pass - cold Thursday night on a training pitch but still nice when you are 15... I also nearly got chinned by one of the lead singers of the Men They Couldn't Hang at the Mean Fiddler.
My god the Mean Fiddler! Is that place still going? Went up out there through bandit country a few times. Saw Tanita Tikeram there once.
