That's exactly the sort of modest attitude we like . Congratulations, you've passed the test.

    From paper:

"The club has agreed to introduce new branding guidelines that would entail a return to the use of ‘Hull City’ by the club, while assuring the Committee that concession tickets would be reintroduced, and a new badge will be designed with consultation from the fans.
While Bielby admits the changes may take time to come to fruition, he sees last night’s meeting as a breakthrough moment.
“They’ve agreed to do what we wanted them to do,” Bielby told the Mail. “They are talking very positively.
“It is going to take a while to deliver, basically they have agreed to call us 'Hull City', I asked about ‘the Tigers’, but they were a bit woollier about that. It is going to take a while to take all the signs down because everything is Tigers branded round the pitch and everything.
“The owners have given the management team permission to sort out the naming and come up with a new crest and to look at reintroducing concessions in some shape or form. It will probably be before the end of the season for match tickets.
“It was a surprise because we were emailed to say Assem and Ehab would be attending, but they didn’t attend.
“There’s a lot of work to do yet, but if there is the will which was there last night, then I am cautiously optimistic that we will make some progress, as all fans want to see, but at the end of the day we need to get behind the team.
“I wouldn’t claim victory, because nothing has changed yet, I’m cautiously optimistic. What I would say is the meeting last night was a breath of fresh air to see the positivity in the room.”
After the cancellation of the meeting earlier in the month, fans once again staged protests against the fans owners during Friday night’s win over Sheffield United.
However, while Bielby believes the protests have ultimately been successful, fans must now get behind the team.
“The protests have pitched fans against fans and the majority of fans still attending just want to watch football,” he added.

“I am optimistic, though. It has vindicated spending nine hours and it has actually vindicated the protests. People have been very anti-protests, but there is no doubt Assem and Ehab Allam only met fans after the Nottingham Forest protest.
“After Friday, while people say it was poor, it has reminded them that the frustration has built up to the point where they need to do something at the club. They want to end protests and the only way to that is to take action.
“The Trust has been criticised, but the proof in the pudding will be in the minutes, that actually we have made progress. They key thing now is to make sure we deliver on those promises and the fans get behind the team. It’s another big game tonight.”

    Uh oh.

Almost everything you ever buy and consume or read / see / hear on the news has come via somebody working in marketing and / or PR.

Agree. WIthout marketing experts we'd still be living in caves and throwing spears at each other, because nobody would want to buy anything.

Is it missing an important apostrophe? Maybe we could get some enlightenment from the apostrophe police?

I like it, we’ll go with it.

I didn’t say it made you want to buy it. I said it came to you via it.

    Do keep up.

But it’s interesting the importance many of our own club’s fans have placed on a ‘pile of ****’ these past few years.
