If I might play devil's advocate, could it be the reason we are not competing for better class signings that would cost more serious money is that the Allams have doubts as to whether Pearson has followed Assem Allams advice ''to spend it wisely''? They are therefore giving him a chance to prove that he signed the right players before resorting to doing what most new owners do after settling in.................appointing their own choice of manager! Thoughts please!
It's not entirely out of the realms of possibility, but we can only speculate about what they're thinking.
I hate to bring it up, but on transfer fees he's spent way more than Brown did in the Championship and the team's nowhere near as good. He's bought poorly, overspent on the strikers in January, and pissed all of his transfer budget away on Hobbs in the summer. If I was the Allams I'd be waiting until January to give the new manager some cash to spend.
your forgetting while brown won games at this level, his teams didnt pass it in nice triangles, therefore it wasnt very good..
Assuming a lack of sarcasm in your response(?) - I have been up since 4 a.m., so am pretty knacked....
He's winding you up, he knows perfectly well that it went on a £1m fee and £1m a year for wages for Folan, along with big wages for Deano, Pedersen, Okocha etc, far bigger wages than we're paying now.
Worrying question is: Is he winding us up, or does he seriously believe it? If the latter, I worry for him (and I never thought I'd say that about him!)
Could be the latter. Reading his twitter page, there's some serious brown nosing by him towards Duffen!
