When my management wanted to come to an agreement with us they sat down and discussed it. When they didn't want an agreement they ignored us. For 4 years the Allams have ignored us. They attended two meetings and today came to an agreement with the Trust on the way forward. The Allams didn't attend because they backed down and attending would be a loss of face, in their eyes. The time for games is over. Even they know if they wriggle out of using our name and introducing concessions the malaise around our club will get worse as will the protests. My money would be on them finally giving in on the name and concessions. We'll see tomorrow.
The Supporters Committee is the medium for the talks, not the trust or any other single organisation. The club has not had talks with the trust, it has held meetings with the Supporters Committee.
Whatever, we've all seen enough of how they operate, to not lose any sleep wondering what Santa will bring us tomorrow.
Right or not, there’s a logic to what Obi is saying...and Chazz actually (I was confident until I typed that last bit )
TOM, you're being pedantic. The statement was agreed with the Supporters Committee which includes a representative of the Trust. I would expect the Trust to abide by whatever was agreed if their representative signed up to it, wouldn't you? Which in my world means there is an agreement between the Trust and the club. I don't expect the minutes to say the OSC and Trust will be consulting their members before the agreement is implemented.
Which committee member do you think represents the largest proportion of members? Which reminds me, I still haven't renewed my membership
But you phrased it as if the Trust were central and controlling... TOM wasn't being pedantic, you were being lax.
