Can someone at the meeting ask a couple of serious questions for me please. 1. If our last four managers have all been head coaches who has been managing the club? I suspect that it can only be Ehab. 2. If that's the case - based on this season and last on pitch performances - how much arrogance and stupidity does it take for him not to step down as he's clearly incapable? Footnote, if anyone thinks that he's managed it well financially then think again, he's allowed players contracts to run down to such a degree that he's actually cost the club a fortune in outgoing transfer fees!
Perhaps because some of us think those well intentioned people tried to do the wrong thing, a thing that is unhelpful and not beneficial in the on going problem that is Allam ownership. A pitch invasion will be a huge mistake; it's playing straight into the hands of the owners. Why are posts, from ITK posters, not condemning the protests, yet still support the on going meetings?
Who for? only one I can think of is Abel and there was no way he would ever have re-signed for us. The only reason we’ve got no fee for him is because he was injured and we couldn’t sell him.
OK Fez this is not a dig as for most of a long time we have both been on the same page regarding the Allams, We (and one or two others) saw a long time ago how canny and devious the Allams are at the negotiating table and it looks like for the moment they have a good hand of cards, so my question is what do you think those chosen to be at the meetings should do?
Depending on the position with what Trust suggestions the Allams have officially seen then they will either agree to consider them ahead of a further meeting or put forward counter proposals to be considered ahead of the next meeting. They will also request an agreement that protests stop. AKA stall more. If I were a protest group upset at not being invited then I probably wouldn't want other people deciding whether I should protest again or not. I'd probably consider turning up at the meeting with banners and placards and protesting at the Allams directly.
You seem to have gone into full spite-mode towards the recent protests and protesters and I don't know why.
Our football club is slowly falling apart. The protests, including the numbers involved and the debate over their effectiveness, are an indication of that. Tonight the Allams have another opportunity to start trying to put our club together. What they have to do is very simple, use our name, introduce concessions and build a proper relationship with the Trust on all the other issues that are festering in the background. Mirrors in the women's toilets, standing vs sitting at away matches, etc. The time for delaying any meaningful decisions are long gone. The protests achieved their purpose. We got national coverage, in the main sympathetic, and it continues the pressure on the Allams. No doubt the EFL and Sky are having words with them behind the scenes about what the hell is going on and what are they doing to sort it out.
Because I want what is best for our club. I want the Allams out. If a half arsed protest satisfies most - then fine. But at least do it properly by letting them understand that it is not a small percentage that have issues with their stewardship.
From what I can gather trying to get all the people who wish to protest to unify behind one idea is proving extremely difficult.
How many thousands no longer go to matches? What more of a protest do you want? Everyone stop going? Never going to happen. Go to matches and protest? Some do. I think those not going and those still going and protesting far outnumber those who are happy with the current situation. I believe Ehab is rattled but will try to stall and promise things in the future that he has no intention of delivering. Yes he will say they will do something if the protesters stop but that isn't going to happen unless there is some real movement. Expect protests at the next televised game.Just got to stick with it. ALLAM OUT
Exactly right and that is just the sort of thing the Allams are good at using to split the fans. The name, some care a lot, some a bit and some nothing at all. Concessions affect and concern many but others don't care about them (selfish ****s but there you go) Some thought the Airco Arena was something to protest about others said **** the current users the Hull City Tigers academy status is more important. There will always be those who will go to support the team no matter what is going on.
Just occurred to me that this is the second time I have read this analogy on here about them having a good hand / good set of cards. My point has always been that they deal off the bottom of the pack and you really shouldn't sit down to play with them....
