Off Topic Well done Hull FC

I’d like it if you could post average attendances every season since leaving the Boulevard, plus league position, and details if Rovers are in the same division at the time. It would be silly to rule out the impact the extra 8k or so that game normally attracts.

I tried to look myself but it’s not easy to find on the Internet. Any searches just bring up Hull City.

Which is weird.

I think most clubs attendance are effected by success.
Norwich on the other hand seem to have a great steady fan basr

 

Unless you enjoy watching the traffic lights change or fields being ploughed, the Canaries are the only show in town.

 

Hull city are the only football show in town but plenty still glory hunt the big clubs

 

There is as much to do in Norwich as vibrant, pioneering 'Ull.

What can you do in Hull you can't do in Norwich other than watch egg chasing? Or read a local paper which has daily articles about things you could do years ago but can't now or places you could go but can't now?
Not to mention all the photos of a "wild night out" which seemed to involve standing around in a group huddled together and staring sheepishly at the camera.

 

I have neither the time or desire to do that for you, it's all online somewhere if you're that bothered.

If you have no concept of tenses then sure.

 

‘Rovers were a SL team from 2007’. By not adding an ‘until’ you’ve said it was right through till present day. Otherwise, I could say ‘Hull City were a PL team from 2008’.

 

No I've said exactly what is written, they were a SL team from 2007, past tense, not adding an until doesn't change that. It just makes it incomplete which was my intention as I correctly assumed you knew the recent history. There is no implication that it is continuous to the present day, in fact the preposition specifically indicates the opposite.

And I don’t know their recent history. I know they got promoted last season - that’s it. I’ve no idea if they were a Super League team during any other season in history.

Did you know that Accrington were a top division football league team from 1889?

 

No part of that statement implies they have been a top flight team ever since as you've correctly used the past tense.
