Haven't been on here for years, but here goes, born and dragged up about 300 yards from SJP in Derby St, moved to Fenham where there are no Bars so then moved to Gosforth, there are bars in Gosforth,so never lived ootside Newcastle ,
I used to "holiday" in what was called Swilly (north prospect) when I was a young'n. Was a bit rough like
It's a little tamer these days but there is a remaining hardcore element. That said, I'm alleged to live in the 'posh' part of the City! Probably because it's five miles from the City Centre and the bus routes are too expensive for the hooligan teens who terrorise... (edit). Fair ol' poke to Newcastle from here. I've not been back since we played Derby County last February. (1-0 win) at SJP. Back in April though. Got tickets to see The Manic Street Preachers at the Metro Arena. Fascinating, I'm sure
Didn't know there was a posh part of Plymouth? If you're up for any length of time let me know, I'll probably be able to sort you out with tickets.
Just joined but have been reading for a few years now. I spent the first 10 years of my life in Bahrain and Gibraltar whilst spending a couple of months a year in Ovington and Hexham - even went to a couple of schools for bit in those places. Then moved to Plymouth (which is where I'm from really) until I was about 28 and have spent the last 12 years in Poland (wife's Polish) Seen us play a few times at Home Park (Plymouth) and was once at SJP to see us lose 1-0 to Grimbsy - Yep, the end of the winning run and I think some guy called Jim Dobin scored a 90th minute belter! Still loved it though!
