BBC have an image of Alonso holding what they describe as a wheel bearing on his way back to pits. To me looks like the wheel Nut not a bearing!! I thought the wheel nuts were captive within the wheel?
2 seconds faster than Alonso, on harder tyres. Oh how I'd laugh if that reflects their pace this season.

I dont think so. I seem to remember someone else trying it back at the end of 2017 at Abu Dhabi testing
Can't really tell from that shot yet. That halo should have some aero effect but its where the air goes in the ends that determines if its really desirable. It looks bloody fat, red bull definitely don't look like any aero effect thats good is being developed from it. the head side protection is stil lthere so theres no real nice flow off the halo down the sides of the car and to the rear wing. it really looks like a big block of nothing. I wonder does it have to be "solid" or could you use it to duct air?
McLaren Honda have done 72 laps with Torro Rosso, probably more than McLaren managed all pre-season last year and one of the Mac's wheels falls off within 4 laps. They're clearly haunted by the ghost of Whitmarsh! The team is doomed forever. Whatever they touch turns to ****e

really interesting watching kubica moving head round to see round this ****. Deffo aero on mcclaren and williams on this halo.
