The remarks about Hooray Henries (note plural of Henry) demonstrates the insular, parochial nature of Hull folk.

Loads of positives too, and 'brave, battling displays'.

Your comments about Hull folk demonstrates your contempt towards them.

Was in the pub last year. A group of blokes were having a drink after doing some work on that new hotel they are building in Brid. One heard a couple of us talking about Hull City. He said that he thought that Middlesbrough was the most inward looking, out of touch place in the country. Until they did a job in Hull.

Unfortunately people are much more inclined to view negativity about their city/town above positivity!
    That s all cities

That's why I said 'pretty much' and not every single single team in every single season.

Plot all our attendances against our league position and I'm sure you'll see a strong positive correlation.

Neither Hull or Middlesbrough were his home town. He was from the Midlands and worked all over the country.

Hence why that wasn't a reply to you, I thought we'd already established that we agree on this?

    Which makes no difference.
People from all Cities have more appetite to grab onto negativity of their own City than promote it!!

And I simply provided an example. I didn’t say you said all either.

You provided an example to disprove a point that nobody was making, if you agree why bother posting it at all?

Ah right, so whenever we agree with anything we simply stay silent. I didn’t know this was the rule.

But while we’re on - why do you think Hull FC crowds are so reliant on success while other club’s aren’t?

You don't have to stay silent, it's just strange you felt the need to post something contrary to the point you agreed with, presumably just for a reaction.

I think the facts will suggest Hull FC are no more or less reliant on success than the majority of other clubs, since the expected crowd boost due to the new stadium their crowds have been pretty consistent (unlike City), in fact their average has actually dropped slightly despite their recent success which seemingly undermines your argument a little.

If you stay SILENT people will assume you agree with their opinion when you don't

    It wasn’t contrary.

And what argument? As we’ve already established, i agree with you.

We agree that clubs attendances are generally reliant on success.

We don't agree that Hull FC's attendances are so reliant on success compared to other clubs, I think the facts suggest otherwise.

This may have been covered but it’s puzzling me.

If 5000 FC supporters hopped on a plane to Aus for a week or so how did they square it with Jobseekers? Surely they can’t all have said “I’ve got an interview down under, can I have my plane fare?”
