City are in for Waghorn on a loan deal, along with 3 other clubs, one thought to be Bristol City as Leicester try to trade for Maynard

We need to get the ball to our present strikers, then they'll score.
Need a midfield player who can thread a through ball forward to them.

I was thinking we need a direct running midfielder like (dare I say it)......Marney. Tom Cairney can thread a good ball and so can McKenna.....however none of them get past the opposition's midfield and into the box to shoot. I wish TC would (as he's got a great eye for goal) but it doesn't seem to be his game.

    but not Marney

Can't see him being allowed to come here on loan.
Pity, I would have enjoyed doing the Waggy chant again.

We loaned Hobbs initially. Fryatt came straight in on a permanent.

How much do you think they would want for Waghorn? HDF says it'll be a cut price deal so I was thinking around £500k.

I think Waghorn will want to come to us, so I'm hoping we'll be the favourites to land his signiture.

They won't let him go for that little, they paid well over a million, rising to £3m with add-ons, if we were to take him permanently he'd be over a million, I think a loan is more likely.

I thought that they'd want more but you never know with Leicester, we got Fryatt and Hobbs on the cheap so you never know.

I think fryatt was about right at £1.1m. Waghorn will cost about the same I'd have thought.

Waghorn is a little younger isn't he? He just got called up to the U21 squad if I remember rightly.

The fee will be well above £1million if we were to sign him permanently, I think a loan deal will be better suited to us, but maybe not Leicester. I have a feeling he will be used for bait to get Maynard from Bristol City

I think Waghorn will cost about 1.5 mill, which we won't pay. Probably he'll go to Bristol as makeshift in the Maynard deal.
This leaves us to play in the loan market next week.

Has anybody heard the Yakubu rumour that started a week or so ago?

On the Waghorn move, I think Leicester would prefer to get shut permanently and would look to sell him and I can see him going for around 1 million which Allam's wont cough up. Reckon as others have said, he'll go to Bristol City in a trade off for Maynard.
