    Good Morning Everyone

Leeds got back to winning ways with a comprehensive 1-0 win against Brentford. Its fair to say that apart from the first 20 minutes Leeds controlled large parts of the game and only bad referring and a goal line clearance once Lasogga had rounded the keeper stopped Leeds from extended their lead.

Felix looked accomplished in goal, O'Kane and Phillips were far improved compared to previous outings, Saiz was back to his best and Lasogga was every bit as deadly as Wood ever was.

Heckingbottom spoke to the pres about Saiz after the Brentford game

“We’re trying to improve players,” said Heckingbottom, as quoted by LeedsLive.

“I don’t think I can make Samu better on the ball if I’m honest, he’s a terrific talent, really instinctive but I can definitely make him a better player for the team and that’s what it’s all about, we want to be successful.”

18 months after Leeds sold Lewis Cook to Bournemouth for 6m, Liverpool want to snap up the youngster for 20m

I hope he has a sell on clause...

We have been made aware of just how much Cellino sold Leeds Utd for, and the profit he made as Chairman during his three year tenure...

From ESL accounts: MC sold #LUFC to AR for £45m and made a profit of £3.5m. Not a great return for a 3 year investment but not too shabby in this day and age

    Replying to @Mike_J_Thornton

Do you mean profit = difference between what he bought for & sold for? Or difference between what he sold for & what he bought for plus what he put in to cover losses?

Yes, I mean fiscal gain purely from buying the club's shares (from GFH and new issues from the club) to a total value of £41.5m and selling those shares for £45m. Profit on sale of shares £3.5m. Of course ESL had costs associated so ESL only made £2m profit after tax & interest

Morning all, Cook must be impressing a few then.

Great to get back to winning ways, I’d started to forget what it felt like.

Sorry for drifting off topic there!

This morning I had brown toast (two slices) with a particularly nice raspberry and redcurrant jam smeared thinly on it. I washed this down with a couple of mugs of steaming tea (one sugar).
    As you were.
    Good morning...

Good Morning to Matt and Rik and co from a Bardsey covered in icing sugar
Certainly good to get back to winning ways and I am looking forward to Fridays match Boro incidentally Boro will be without their outstanding player Traore who was sent off against Sunderland.I rate him up there with the best in our division
We have £4m extra clauses re Cook I believe so along with Rose we should have a 11M nest egg for next season lets hope we put it to better use an buy a GK and a CB

    Its true...
    You doubt it because?

You were one of those telling us how much Cellino was pumping in and how we should be grateful.. You said that because?

    Morning all.

Nice to have a win to talk about on a Monday morning. Just keeps the play off hopes alive much to the doom mongerers among us annoyance.

Players coming back from injury/ suspension have certainly improved us. Plus Heck seems to be getting more out of everyone.

I see a lot on Twitter are writing the play offs off but, at the risk of being called a happy clapper, should we be just yet?

We have our best player back plus as stated above other first teamers.

Playing ok and not losing games. Picking up points against teams a month ago we would be losing to.

Only 5 points to the play offs, just two wins potentially.

The teams between us and 6th place are dropping points, this weekend everything seemed to go for us.

We play first next weekend so potentially a 2 point gap by 15.00 Saturday.

If we can win Friday that is another team above us dropping points. A 6 pointer if you will.

I know it will be difficult but to write off the play offs now is far too negative for me. Keep picking up the points and who knows....

I didn't mention any Cellino pumping, I suspect that is from your dreams. (I don't think I was a poster when he was the owner, I could be wrong though)

Why do I doubt it ? because of the source I suspect ?

Boro on Friday, Isn't going to the most appealing fixture for a new manager but ,,,,,,,,,, I have no justification for this bit we are going to win 2-1. The team is getting more accustomed to the way PH wants to play and with more strategic decisions being made during the match I think it will be a good result for us. I'm hoping to be up early enough to see it on Saturday morning, but that all depends of Friday night !!

    Yes.
17 March if Swansea dump the wendies out of the cup and last game of the season QPR. I am sure everyone is welcome (well nearly everyone). :bandit:
I am going to do Bolton on what I think is Good Friday and will put a shout out nearer the time.

I would class you as a pessimist, no offence, but your views are a comforting back stop on reality. :emoticon-0148-yes:
