Make no mistake this was a hammering. What on Earth was CC doing taking off a defender for a forward away from home, when we were already under the cosh. There is not one of our players that came out of that game with any credit, and they need to take a long hard look at themselves tonight, because they were awful, second half especially, and it could have been a lot worse as they sliced through us like butter, a goal disallowed and plenty of misses, compared to our one shot on target, how embarrassing to watch established PL players acting like Park footballers. We need to turn this around quickly or there’s only one way we’re going.
Don’t rule out Andre Ayew yet. He hasn’t even started a game yet!! Much too early to judge imo. I must give credit though. He was proper **** today. Let’s all hope he gets better.
This was never a hammering and the score flattered Brighton. If we had a bit of luck it could have gone our way...These things happen in football all the time especially with the run we were on, You wont win them all and the second easy goal meant we had to just go for it that left us wide open... Brighton started the game looking for a Draw but when the second goal went in they went for the win. Nobody played particularly well but we had enough to win but it was not our day and i have been waiting for that......Hopefully it will give us the kick up the arse we needed....
Were you there? Sorry but IMO it was a hammering, the score didn’t flatter Brighton, and luck didn’t come into it. Many of our fans couldn’t bear to watch it any longer and walked out before the end. It was a bitterly cold day and bitterly disappointing to watch our players giving in like that. We were so bad we just capitulated and the Brighton players were running straight through us. Last Sat first half at Sheff Wed was a precursor of what was to come after our great run. Yesterday we were back to our full blown Clementesque ways. Let’s hope Carlos can work some magic and get us going again.
If nothing else I hope Carlos learns one thing, we can't play 4-4-2. Four at the back is what got us into the ****e in the first place. Has to revert to 3CB's and stick with it. Mawson likes to get himself up the pitch so let him but we must never revert to a flat back four again or we'll lose every time. Only second game we've lost in 10 (I think) had to happen sooner or later. Onward and upward
