Trying to understand Spurs finances is like going down the rabbit hole. We haven't paid for Hotspur Way yet, which was the subject of a loan deferred from another ENIC company. We owe £400m on the NDP development before building the hotel and housing that are intended to pay for a lot of it. Plus there's potential developments like The Goods Yard and other bits of N17 that the club owns. What ENIC sell, when and for how much could be critical for the club's future.

How does that all shake out? I've no idea. The stadium will be a money making machine, especially when/if we get all of/a share of the ownership of an NFL franchise. However, the next 10 years are there to be navigated. ENIC haven't taken any money out of the club that I know of, preferring to re-invest and increase income, profit and share value. At which point, if Daniel Levy says we can't afford to pay Toby £150k per week but are willing to pay him £110k, I reckon it's because he believes that to be the case.

ENIC could recapitalise by way of a share issue and pay off all the debt but they aren't going to do it. It's probably because borrowing money is still cheap right now, they just don't see it as necessary and unlike a certain former Chairman, they seem to know what they're doing. Unsuccessful, dabbling by Scholar almost destroyed 100 years of our club. It's their money....their call, I guess. It's not like they're making a bad job of things right now, is it?

I still reckon that this might not go ahead. We got the full capacity usage of Wembley because we were only there for one season and there was even significant local objection to that.

The money that Abramovic would have to spread around to satisfy local residents and businesses for a 5 season run would be enormous. Even then, some would see the end of their jobs/political careers if they voted it through. Playing 5 seasons in half a stadium that isn't yours? Good luck with that. <laugh>

Might not go ahead?<laugh><laugh><laugh>. I'd be amazed if it does go ahead in it's current format. They need an 18 month build maximum and it might be in their interest to relocate to the tax payers arena during that time. Wembley is a pain in the backside to get to and twice as bad to get out of. Furthermore, the Dildo bros will probably need an additional source of income by then, because if they don't yo-yo this season, it won't be long looking at their squad and manager.

I reckon that they'll redevelop what they've got bit by bit, rather than knock down and re-build. As they can't find another site, that's all that makes financial sense for a ''supposedly kosher business'.

With Abramovic, there's always the possibility that he'll pull in bent money from somewhere and make it clean in exchange for a slice of the club. He's been fishing for investment from China of late. Seemingly, there's been no takers but it is just possible that he could find someone more dodgy than he is....allegedly. <laugh>

If you don't hear from me again, you'll know he read this.

My experience of the Chinese is that they like a return on their money, it's more likely that if he does business with them, it's him you'll never hear from again.

And if backers from China ever fall from favour
with the current heads of regime, then that
funding would be on very thin ice indeed.

Jimmy Bullard, 14 January 2018, on Ryan Sessegnon leaving Fulham...

"If you ask me, he’s got to go to a big club like PSG or United if they come in for him, because he may never get the opportunity again. With all due respect, Spurs aren’t at the same level as those clubs, so he could go there, it might not work out how he’d expect and then he’d have blown his chance to sign with the big boys – you can always step down, but you can’t always step up when it suits you."

Jimmy Bullard, 22 February 2018, on Ryan Sessegnon leaving Fulham...

“Let’s have it right, Fulham won’t let him go for nothing - the asking price will be £30-£50 million - so if Spurs do shell out that amount of cash then there’s no way he’s not playing. Spurs are becoming one of the biggest teams in Europe now, they’ve got a new stadium on the way, they’re building a top-class side with plenty of English talent in there and they’ve got a top, top manager. So, if the move did go ahead this summer, then I think it would be fantastic for the lad.”

So, you're completely full of ****, eh Jimmy?

With news that Anthony Martial is stalling on signing a new contract at man Utd, the HITCs and FootballDotLondons of the world scoured the internet looking for the one Spurs fan tweeting that we should do a swap deal with Martial or Toby

...I totally meant to check the Twitter profiles of these fans to check if their entire posting history doesn't coincide with the Narratives of these sites

Wouldn't it be the stadium owners rather than the Dildo Brothers that would get the additional income?

Had a dream that we agreed a player + cash swap deal with Real for Gareth Bale. The player swapped was Toby and the cash sum was - although difficult to hear above all the bloody herons also populating the dream - was around £20-30m.

    Any takers?

Putting herons to one side, I feel that in Toby's case we should be looking to pull off a swap deal. I don't trust us to spend any large sums of money and in all likelihood we'd get fleeced anyway as a PL club with a nice new cheese room.

Is some sort of deal involving Bale really out of the question? They'd have to front half of his wages but they clearly want rid and he clearly isn't too happy out there. Wow factor and proper Kane competition in one fell swoop.

And if he goes to Barca, how would Paco Alcacer like to swap the spanish coast for Hackney?

Reports are suggesting that Malcom will be headed to Bayern.

I find this unlikely - Bordeaux aren't in the Bundesliga, so that doesn't fit Bayern's usual habit of hoovering up their rivals' players every summer.

Don't want Bale back...great player for us didn't like his attitude when he left. Was a shame cos he always gave his all.
Toby is going though ... just hope it ain't
    To an English club.
Knowing Real, if Toby goes there they will sell a good player to arsenal to **** us over.
