White eggs are as rare as hen's teeth. There used to be white eggs cos hens used to eat white dog ****...
The LATEST from the Medics on eggs is that they are indeed full of chlorestoral. However it's of the GOOD variety. So NOW it's a good thing to eat eggs. Till the next 'Study'
Not that "late" really - I've know for years that eggs are full of HDL cholesterol (the stuff that is good for you) as opposed to LDL. HDL helps the body break down LDL (from what I remember from my diabetes education I did when getting my insulin pump)
I get my occasional 'Duck Egg Fix' from either Sainsbury's or Tesco, but I've never heard of 'blue duck eggs'. What are they ? ------------ Sometimes I make an omelette with mine and yes it's very nice with cheddar. Many years ago, when Lambton Lion Park was open, I attracted the attention of some long legged bird that had evidently escaped. It also had a very long pointed beak. It followed me, ignoring everyone else, trying to get the odd peck but didn't do too much damage. Eventually one of the staff came, collared it and took it back to wherever it came from. A short while later the bloke found me and apologised on behalf of 'The Park'. How could they make it up, he asked. Then he asked if I liked omelettes. The answer was yes. Follow me then. Off we went to one of the little cafe's where the cook took an OSTRICH egg out of the cupboard and made an omelette. Me and my friends got first pick, then he served it round. Talk about feeding the five thousand. That was even 'stronger' than duck egg. I've never had the chance to try it again and, SADLY, the days when long legged birds chase after me is long gone
