Very true, I did a moany post but I was very cold and a bit drunk. Now I’m a bit warmer I can look back and say it was a good point against a tough side. I moaned because I just find it so hard to watch us now. Sit in the stands wondering how it has come to this. BUT well done for fighting until the end today.
Absolutely. Ref didn't intercept their player, did what all good refs do when the play lurches towards them. Nothing. Crap game though.
Just watched the game. Not our best was it. We look so sloppy but Burnley were no better. Hopefully the subs gave mp2 something to think on. We looked a lot more likely to score after 80 mins than before. It was a great goal from gabbiadini and an even more important point. Still in the fight.
Where? Spain is under a cold blanket of air at the moment with temperaturas over much of the country struggling to reach doublé figures, and night time temperatures comparable to the UK. Even Sevilla is far from warm. His best best might be the Canaries or the West Indies.
Went to the match and thought Saints were the equal of Burnley or better in the first half. Second half Burnley got a grip and scored. Pellegrino seemed to wait until then to change things. Thought Carillo did a lot of chasing back and defending at corners. Disappointed with Redmond and Cedric, but McCarthey was great. Our goal showed we didnt give up. A point at Burnley is not easy to get. Came away satisfied, looking forward to Newcastle match.
I think 4-4-2 could be effective but only in certain games or we'd risk being overrun in midfield. I also don't think right wing in a 4-4-2 is the best way to get the most out of Sims. No way should he be getting in over Prowsey either... Or Boufal for that matter.
How about: (Regular defense and keeper) ----Lamina - Hojbjerg------ JWP - Gabbiadini - Sims -----------Carrillo------------- JWP to cross from the right, Sims able to cut in on his right foot. Gabbiadini playing the role of runner from the center of the park.
Yes it's a game we could have won but that could prove a vital point come May. A last minute goal always nice too. I'm off out for a few hard earned drinks after a horrible week of nights. Enjoy your evening everyone
One more good thing about Sims is he's two footed so try as he might there's no way for Pellegrino to play him on the wrong side of the pitch
