Anyone got a strong fancy in the 1:15 Kempton? Its the first race in the scoop 6 and am struggling. Our Kaempfer and My Charity are the two i'm thinking of but i couldn't confidently rule out any one of the 14 runners.
I see another Mullins bumper makes his first run tomorrow - STAY HUMBLE - for some reason I have backed him antepost for March @ 25/1 about 4 months ago coz there was talk of him being he number 1 bumper horse so let’s see!(i doubt it now but who knows)
MY CHARITY is the horse I referred to in my opening post. I think the handicapper has underestimated by around 7lbs.
Scoop 6/Lucky 63: 1:15 Kempton - My Charity 14/1 2:05 Lingfield - Encore D'Or 13/2 2:45 Newcastle - Houblon Des Obeaux 14/1 3:00 Kempton - Scarlet Dragon 9/2 3:15 Lingfield - Khalidi 6/1 3:35 Kempton - Master Dee 7/1 Other bets i'm having are: 3:40 Chepstow - Padge 40/1 & Ptit Zig 14/1 EW singles and reverse fc. 3:00 Kempton - Michaels Mount 7/1 Single and reverse fc with Scarlet Dragon 2:45 Newcastle - Houblon Des Obeaux 14/1 decent size (for me that is) ew single on this
Off to Kempton today and these are my bets; 1.15 MY CHARITY ew 16/1 1:50 CYRNAME ** 2.25 READICEAN ** 3.00 nothing yet 3.35 THEATRE TERRITOY ew 9/1 4.10 FOURTH ACT 4.45 PYM ** SPECIAL ACCEPTANCE ew 12/1 ** these three in doubles and trebles the ew three in an ew trixie as well as singles
I like Mr King‘s runner in the bumper (might land him a double with Scarlet Dragon fancied in the Dovecote). Looking for Go Conquer to underline his Grand National claims back on better ground, I can see him jumping them silly from the front. Have a great day stick and tell them they are mad to even think about closing the track
At the risk of boring everyone else with our bumper chats odddy.... That Brigade Of Guards you like is quite intrigueing. Its a full brother to Captain Woodie, an MPR horse that Henderson won two bumpers with last season but has not been seen since. Also Brigade Of Guards has already been through the ring three times which is unusual for a NH store, the previous owners were Jenner and Green, two ladies that have most of their horses (usually called NO NO ........) with Mr Longsdon. It is interesting that they didnt keep it to race. My last point is that although its sale price rose each time it never reached anything like the shedloads MPR paid for its full brother. If I get the chance I will add my paddock report regarding the beast shortly before the off.
Nice one mate King says he has been showing them plenty at home but is only just ready to run, so I’d expect him to come on for the run.
My Charity 1.15 Kemp (Stick) Hainan 2.45 New (Swanny) Scarlet Dragon 3.00 Kemp (QM) Go Conquer 3.35 Kemp (Oddy) E/W L15, E/W Acca & singles Thanks fellas. Good luck all. Lets get the war chest filled for Cheltenham
I see my charity is popular, Kayf blanco in the 4.15 anyone? Master of the world in the winter derby looks a good shout to me
Have a great day, Stick, again very envious. Remember me to what used to my my local track, along with Sandown Park.
