As Poool 2013-14 proved, diving is a TEAM
game and not about the individual.

I am worried about our home form.

    -------------------------- GP W D L GF GA GD Pts
    1 Manchester City 14 13 1 0 50 10 +40 40
    2 Manchester Utd 13 10 2 1 29 5 +24 32
    3 Arsenal 13 10 2 1 36 14 +22 32
    4 Tottenham 14 9 4 1 29 9 +20 31
    5 Chelsea 14 9 2 3 24 10 +14 29
    6 Liverpool 13 7 6 0 27 9 +18 27

Lawrenson called it a great home record as we are undefeated. I say it is a bad one as each draw is like a mini defeat (dropping 2 points instead of 3 for a defeat). nearly half of our matches have been draws and unless we stop that trend, we would struggle to stay in top 4. Especially if Spurs and Chelsea go on a run.

We struggle at home because hardly anyone comes to play - they just want to contain us and that's a problem we haven't yet fully addressed.
You can't take it in isolation, though. What matters is our form overall.
    Have some belief. <ok>

if you look at actualy draws.

    burnley at time was ok.
    utd top4
    everton lovren
    west.brom ok a poor show.
    chelsea top
    spurs top

so... only one or two poor results in there and the rest are ok.

if you look at games left. every home game is very much winnable and by end the record could be 13-6-0

We drew too many games especially at home, a title winning team would not do that. We should like occasionally to go for broke bloody too tight
at the top, but it's going to be an achievement if we in the top four for second year running.

4th spot should be Spuds to lose given Tony is set up to lose us most if not all games.

Title is not in the bag yet. League cup will help decide though.

you are right about a title winning side but not losing to utd chelsea and spurs is not at all bad either.

burnely, west brom, everton... surely only 2 bad actual results.thete total?

I've been a terrible fan this year, not been able to see many games or really follow along... But if I recall correctly, we started the season out doing badly at home and good away... But as the season has progressed our home form has improved.

I'm too lazy to look at say out last 5 home games, but I imagine the results are better than our first 5 home games of the season.

First 5 home games: 11 points (included Arsenal and Man Utd)
Last 5 home games: 13 points (included Spurs and Man City)

    Better now, but not drastically

11 from our first 5 is better than my memory seemed to think. Perhaps it's just that we looked worse than we really were.

We drew with Burnley & Man Utd in first five games, we beat Palace, Arsenal and Huddersfield.

We drew with Spurs in the last five, we beat Swansea, Leicester, Man City and West Ham

I'd say the last five were harder (on paper) than the first five. Also worth noting that we'd have maximum points from the last five if it weren't for dodgy refereeing / cheating ;)

Chelsea have city next week so we really can extend that lead to 7 points. Sooner we nail down top 4, the better.

Not really. Just that most of us realise that 2nd is also top 4. :)
