Pickford and Butland are the future.

    So is Kane.

    So that's 2 positions sorted.

    Only 9 to go.

If Henderson is back to full fitness he probably starts. He's been captain a lot for England under different managers. Just because he isn't a technical player doesn't mean he's not important. He does the donkey work well.... better than people think tbh.

I don't rate him highly but the managers he plays under do, and they know more than we do!

I'm hoping he's not in Liverpool's first 11 next season although he'll be good squad player.

All we're doing here is highlighting how bad our nation's midfield is. The defence ain't much better tbh... for international level our defence is ****e.

The only saving grace for this England team is Harry Kane. He's the only world class player getting on the plane. Rest are bang average.

Jones, Smalling and Cahill need to **** off. Give Maguire, Gomez and Stones a chance to develop as a back 3.

Midfield I think he'll go for a 2 of Henderson and Wishere, with Alli in the advanced role.

Rashford is all hype. Good for last 15 mins if chasing a game. Sterling seems to play well for Pep only. Lingarrd is hot and cold.

Southgates got a tough job to sort these numpties out.

Pickford over Butland for me in goal. I have a feeling Hart will end up playing though which is truly baffling.

Maguire will get dropped as he has said he isn’t interested in Man City :bandit:
Agree on GK’s and Kane. I think Vardy will have a big part to play in the squad as he brings something different.
I’m all in favour of form players so if Sterling plays that’s fine with me and Walker. Is Gomez playing regularly for you?
3 at the back could work, Walker right wing back and some ****e to fill a shirt on the left. Sterling behind Kane or does he have to be on the wing? Centre midfield options are an embarrassment

I agree he has more balance to his game than Rose or Shaw.

Yeah would probably go with him. Not a name that jumps off as being class on paper but we could probably do with more solid if unspectacular players who want to be there than big names playing for big clubs who can’t be arsed

Wilshere is a decent player, but he had a ****ing mare last night. Add to the fact that he had Elneny and Maitland Niles alongside him and it was never going to be a stellar performance from our midfield. Wilshere is good enough for this England squad though.

... I wouldn't ... Sturridge neither ... players who can't play consecutive games at tournaments just disrupt the momentum of the team ... teams that win tournaments tend to have a largely settled team throughout ...

We're not winning the tournament <ok>

If that's the case why bother with a squad? Or subs?

I'd play Vardy <whistle> probably with Kane ... does at International level what he does domestically ... scores against the best teams ...he's a way better finisher than Sterling, Lingard or Rashford ..

Yeah Gomez plays, currently out of position at RB so he's perfect for the right of a back 3. Hopefully he's our long term future CB with VVD. He's had a slight injury so Alexander-Arnold has played last couple.

Southgate has played the 3 of them already so it must be in his thinking.

Walker will go as RB but Alexander-Arnold is the future of England at RB. Any of you twats can bookmark that - the kid is next level for his age.

I'd take Bertrand as LB but I'm not convinced by him. But who else is there? Shaw but Jose doesn't play him even though he rates him as the best LB in world football #dickhead

Yeah Vardy goes, doesn't start though. Bit like Rashford he's useful off the bench.
