Roy Keane "Jack Wilshere is the most overrated player on the planet" Can't really argue that but still funny.
I've never really got the hype with Jack Wilshire either. Scholes said once on BT Sport that he's no better now than when he was 18, and it's hard to disagree. In fact I'd actually say he was a better player as a teenager, than he has been since he's been in his 20s. Injurys may not have helped him, but he really hasn't progressed like everyone believed he would do as a youngster. Yet another young player who's failed to progress under Wenger.
I'd still take him to Russia if he's fit as he's technically far superior than all of our other midfielders.
Who said anything about relying on him? Just that if he was fit I'd take him. We're not gonna do anything anyway are we let's be honest.
Well we're not exactly blessed with quality players in central midfield, Dier is the best we have in that role, and we'll need someone else to go along side him, so it could be Wilshire. The central midfield positions look so weak, that I would strongly consider moving Alli further back and playing him alongside Dier, and then playing Lingard in Allis position as an attacking midfielder. The thought of having the likes of Jordan Henderson and Jake Livermore in midfield is concerning. I'd even rather take Jonjo Shelvey than those 2.
Too much hype about that kant...England dont need him...unless he's going to carry the bags for the likes of Kane, Alli
Which is why if Wilshere is fit I would take him as like I say he's technically far superior. If we play a double pivot I think him and Dier could form a decent partnership.
I'm not hyping him at all, just saying he's technically better than most of our midfielders. Alli needs to pull his finger out really as don't think he's been that good this season.
He's been **** for the standards he set himself last season. Still managed 9 goals and 13 assists so far. However he's not doing himself justice
Is that all competitions or the league? If that's the league then I'm surprised and it shows how good he was last year as it doesn't seem like he's got anywhere near that level.
This is how I would line up if I was in Gareth Southgates position. Butland Walker, Maguire, Jones, Bertrand Dier, Alli Sterling, Lingard, Rashford Kane Wilshire would be in the squad, but I wouldn't start him.
Aslong as that clown Joe Hart is not in goal, I will take either Butland or Pickford. I think Butland is a better keeper than Pickford in all honesty though, as I think his handling is better. Pickford although very good at stopping shots, I find gives up a lot of 2nd chances to attackers. Butland when he makes a save is better at either catching it, or pushing the ball into a safer position. Butland is also a much more intimidating goalkeeper, as he is a lot bigger than Pickford. Pickford being only 6'1 is far to small for a goalkeeper IMO.
I wouldnt disagree his distribution is very good, probably better than Butlands. I'm just hoping that Southgate isn't stupid enough to persist with Joe Hart, despite the fact he's the worst keeper in the PL, and he can't even get in West Hams side.
Pretty sure he won't be. It should be Pickford and Butland fighting it out for number one for the foreseeable with Heaton taking the 3rd spot.
