I don’t really like flying. It’s not the being in the air bit that bothers me. It’s the enforced proximity to thousands of strangers from the minute you enter the departure airport to the second you exit the arrival airport.

You get back from holiday and tell everyone that you had a great time and met so many lovely people.

Apart from every **** who checked your ticket, passport, hand luggage or who was on your plane.

 

Ever thought off taking a liner you grumpy bugger.

 

I’ve got kids, I can’t be having a cheeky toot before take off.

Thanks. I hate the airport experience. That **** who gets to the front of a long passport control queue and then can’t work out which pocket his passport is in. What did you think they were going to ask you to show them, your library card?

 

I'm driving up north on Sunday to Durham for a funeral on Monday mate.

For both of us it would be £300-£400+ return.

Train prices are obscene!

I'm guessing round trip in the car will be abot £60-£70-ish

I mix my commuting into London between car and train depending which office I'm in.

I prefer to drive!!!!

 

That's like when your queueing at a bar in a pub for 15 minutes and then the person gets to the front and doesn't know what they want. Umm? You've been stood there for 15 minutes surely you could look at what you want

I get your point. I’m actually pretty laid back. It’s stupid that I don’t like. And people eating into my time by being stupid.

By the way, the guy wasting your time at passport control may not be on your flight. His might not be leaving for hours, there’s a good chance he’s actually at the wrong airport.
