That's unfair. What he's saying is spot on. We lost because of conceding appalling goals, which can happen in any formation. People really overstate the importance of formation.

Does it matter specifically what? It's just a turn of phrase. His point is that it can't have been that bad if we created so much. The problem was defenders doing stupid stuff, like it has been most of the season. Generally I would say that's still the manager's responsibility ultimately, but I'm not sure what else he can do. He's brought in McDonald who sees decent but it's the rest of them that need to sort themselves out. We all know the answer is new defenders.

The negative twat should try starting him from the off, instead of perhaps bringing him on when we may be chasing the match. Also at Boro when we were 3-1 down the negative twat, (spot the theme) left three up the pitch when Boro had a corner, he should also do this from the off.
