Who do we think is our third choice centre back, presumably Bednarek? Good time to play Burnley and hopefully we can get something from this game.
I have seen Bednarek against Wolves in the cup and playing for the U23's against Villa, trust me, he is the slowest running footballer I have ever seen. Rather bring Alfie Jones from the academy
He will need someone to create an opportunity for him. He worked his socks off last week and was directly involved in both our goals but got nothing back
I have only watched Burnley on random highlights this season and heard what the pundits have to say about them as well. Sounds like they are a well drilled and organised side with a physical attack in Wood/Barnes who are good in the air. This is the sort of side that is exactly the type who Saints do **** against, struggle to break down an organised team and look weak defending aerial threats (Though better since Mccarthy has been in the team). Hopefully Burnley's poor form continues but on paper at least this the perfect game for them to get a win.
We’ve actually been very fortunate with injuries to date. Not an excuse we can wheel out really. I hope Burnley are in the mindset of ‘dead season’ from now. That would be very helpful.
Sort of agree but I don't think a draw would be the end of the world. My heart tells me that we'll win this one as they're ****e atm and we only tend to beat ****e teams but my head is saying that they're exactly the kind of team we struggle against.
And city will be guttered because the mighty Saints got further in the cup than they did. They will be up for it
