Anyway, do you see people rating or making a fuss about something or someone and having seen this person/thing think "what's the fuss?"

So for me likes of Beatles, Bob Dylan in music. Dylan's voice grates tbh

Or likes of bill Hicks and George carlin in comedy. Social commentary maybe but they arent really laugh out loud funny. Neither is Stewart Lee.

You're gonna put Comm out of a job.

 

The Beatles were pretentious ****s and, with the exception of George Harrison, were total cockwombles, but they pioneered pop music.
I personally think most of their music is dogshit, but you have to give them credit, same with Elvis.
Bob Dylan cannot sing for ****, but he is a great writer and again, he was ahead of his time.

Bill Hicks on the other hand, is a ****ing genius, and if you dont think he is funny then we probably have different definitions of "sense of humour".

Bill Burr and Jim Jefferies are also hilarious. And Frankie Boyle.

In terms of things being overrated, and things I cannot understand the fuss about......coffee.......
People paying £4 for half a cup of something that literally grows on trees, and then **** loads of milk poured in it.
The whole Starbucks/Costa things goes straight over my head.

 

Magners cider. The stuff's ****ing undrinkable. Every pub sells it, like it's Guinness. Yeeeeuch.

Pubs showing anything on tv but sport.

KFC. Saltier than the Dead Sea. Pony up enough money to buy a decent kebab.

Pulled pork. ****ing dreadful. It's stringy and takes forever to get out of your teeth. What was wrong with pork?

Harley Davidson motorcycles. Just no.

Conservatories. Too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter. Ridiculous.

 

If you think that you don't get Bob Dylan, then listen to his Christmas album. You really won't get him then! Bloody awful.

Star Wars - what the **** is that ****? If any one of my mates asked me to go and watch Star Wars in the cinema I'd never speak to him again.

Any man who gets even a twitch of excitement over Star Wars deserves a wrecking ball industrial accident to the face.

 

People who bang on about The Beatles as being ****.

People who think Bill Hicks is some kinda genius.

People who think Nescafe is better than Costa Coffee.

People who like Guinness, it's mud.

Pubs that show nothing but sport.

Kebabs, it's dead cat.

Worryingly, I agree on The Beatles, Elvis, Bill Hicks and coffee........are you adopted? My brother swears my mum sold a couple of us when times were tight.

I grew up on stand up comedy, love it.
I don't hate George or Bill and used to listen to them. But geniuses? Nah. Maybe to start but then became social commentary over comedy for me.

Jim Jeffries is my fave currently. Likes of Patrice O'Neal (rip) had potential to be greats but died

Agree on the coffee stuff. When I was doing market research for my own place a while back all current thinking is to over price rather than under price as that attracts people

Maccies do a decent coffee IMO over the likes of Starbucks and Costa etc
