That nose is very pointy. Looks lovely and low and wide and racey though. Put your finger over the bit of the picture with the halo on. That's what I do.
not very different from last year bar a big black cock ring are side pods much different. dont look as extreme as ferrari's last year still. their efforts at the halo and paint to mask the uglyness are non existant
speaking on halo... the teams could have been encouraged to run the supports at the rear of the halo under false cowling or whatever to make it look like it flowed more into the body work. as it stands its really an add on..
I'm disappointed by the lack of effort to integrate them into the cars. Are they trying to make a point? Maybe.
Dear, Ferrari. It's not hard to get this paint job right. Would you like me to pop over and sort it out for you? Sincerely, Sarge. please log in to view this image
edit : Bando beat me too it! If the 2017 chassis was as good as they said it was, an evolution of it should o the trick, but I had heard the Renault installation was a lot different to the Honda so they have had to do a lot of redesign work to package the engine and systems in. Will that have an effect? This year though they cannot blame the engine if they are not at least up with RBR and Renault.
I guess if the renualt needs less cooling than the honda then it could be made a lot slimmer. The Mercedes yesterday looked super skinny
Think McRenault install has moved the PU forward. The Renault has all the turbo at the rear, honda had compressor at front. So PU has effectively moved forward so they might have had fun with weight distribution and air intake ducting. As we have become used to MeRenault is very empty of sponsors. Hopefully improving results will help. Really hope this does give the front runners a fight but expect Merc will be way out front. Maybe a good battle between Ferrari, Red Bull and McRenault.
Yeah, it just doesn't look as neat or aggressively tapered at the back as the Merc. Almost looks quite conservative in design.
