And on Planet Booger Eatin' Mo-ron,

    https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/18/politics/hatch-apology-letter-porter/index.html

Orrin Hatch apologizes to Rob Porter's ex-wives for saying "it's incredibly discouraging to see such a vile attack on such a decent man."

"Hatch explained that he "was unaware of the nature of the article [detailing what Porter did--tbf it was in the Fail!] and was under the impression political enemies were mounting an attack against Rob, which is why he released the first statement to the White House."

    So, Hatch's process
    1. Assume any criticism is the result of the evil machinations of the UN black helicopters, the deep state and/or the Loonie Tunes characters talking to you through your fillings, and lash out viciously.
    2. Look into what the facts actually are.

He's much like Trump, in other words. The difference being, Trump never gets to step two.

It's been pointed out that, as the first of the Parkland victims funerals was taking place, Trump was a fifty minute drive away playing golf

It was a good run, Emperor Nero, but I think we've found a new analogy.

Tis possible that he asked to attend but the
family said no to a politnik side-show of any
kind. However with Trump you can bet his
office did not even ask the question.

["We'll be very strong on background checks, very strong emphasis on the mental health of somebody," Mr Trump told the students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School during Wednesday's televised event at the White House.]

Shame that doesn't apply to Presidents.

Isn't the logic of the 2nd amendment that the people should be allowed tanks, artillery and nuclear weapons because it's purpose was to allow citizens to attack a rogue government.

    Amendment is the key word.

  8. Other than being an inherently stupid idea, in May 2016 Trump accused 'Crooked Hilary' on Twitter of wrongly claiming that he was in favour of having guns in schools. In February 2018 he is.....proposing having armed teachers in classrooms.......
    Flaky, dangerous ****wit! <doh>

His own son-in-law can't pass a background check, FFS.
Most of his staff can't get security clearance.

The major networks will love it. I bet they’re rubbing their hands together now at the prospect of attending their first disgruntled former pupil vs teacher shootout. The current students can occupy themselves dodging the flying bullets.

Then, of course, it’s just a matter of time before some armed teacher - who’s slightly unhinged, anyway - has had enough of his students and cuts loose on them.

So then, they can arm the students too...I mean the possibilities are endless!...

I wonder if trump is thinking of opening a new company selling bullet proof vests to pupils and teachers and getting a government grant to help set it up

So the Orange Overlord wants to cut education funding, but wants to pay for every single teacher to carry a gun.

No wonder he's gone bankrupt so many times...

You couldn't make it up could you .so what happens when a school teacher assumes a situation is arising where he or she believes that a pupil is losing the plot in class and is a threat and challenges a pupil who has a gun who shoots first and depending on what USA state they are in will it be the electric chair for them ?unbelievable situation to put a teacher in in my opinion.

Funnily enough, neither can the organizers of the Conservative Political Action Conference. They dropped him from their list of speakers like a sack full of dog turds after he tweeted that.
