Not sure why so many people are complicating this.

There is no causal link between protests and match outcomes.

There are too many other variables and factors.

Any buffoon who attempts to link them is deviously doing so merely to serve his own " Don't draw attention to my rotten reign" agenda.

Shame also on those who trot out the 'points deduction/massive fan/closed doors' fantasy.

We know that ticket revenue makes up a low proportion of revenue, but that is soon to change and the Allams need to be made fully aware that fans will not tolerate their actions. If people deliberately back off from protesting as a result of blatant blackmail, what does that say to the Allams?
We need to show them that they have no power over our actions and decisions.

    You cannot divorce the two.
Let's give a similar analogy of the water industry. If Yorkshire water put up their bills and had bad customer service, I would still turn my taps on because I have no choice. But I would complain about the prices and service.
If Yorkshire water then said that if I complained, then they would increase prices and would cut my water off, they would be closed down by the government.
The Allams are doing just that and are getting away with it. And people have the option to not buy the product. we simply don't have to put up with them, but some chose to do so.

Aye, but they wouldn't be turning off their neighbour's tap without their permission.

Some folk simply disagree with your take on things and how they should be handled; that doesn't entitle you to ride roughshod over their choices.

If there was a significant, game stopping, protest every home game our players would be better prepared for it and so it would be an advantage
    Protests would keep us up

Following this thread I must say as someone who has supported Hull City since 1965, I think the saddest thing of all is the amount of anger between the fans. Many people think the best way to get rid of the Allams is 'direct action' of protecting or simply staying away. I respect that view but others (me included, I admit) think that (at this stage in the process) the best route is to not protest, but to simply support the team in the hope that they can stay in the Championship, and that this increases the chances of finding a buyer (as far as I can see, for the Allams to sell, we need a buyer.) They so clearly messed up by not selling when they had the chance after our last promotion, and now we seem to be devoid of options.
This does not make me, or anyone else who thinks this, an Allam apologist. I think 99% of fans want rid, we just differ in our views on the best means of achieving it, and coming out of the other end of this with our club intact.

If the Allams had any interest in selling the club, they would have done so by now. Although i respect anyone's decision to attend games and not protest, I do not think that is approach will achieve anything other than prolonging the Allams ownership of the club, as it means cash in their pockets with no negatives.
I actually think that relegation would be good for the club in the long run, the further down we are, the less cash for the Allams to extract and therefore the quicker they will go. Being in the premier league did not get the club sold, because the Allams are not interested in selling. Being in the championship has not resulted in any real interest, because the Allams are not interested, so I don't think that survival this year will bring anything different next year.

Did you not see the Forest manager have an impromptu team talk during the delay? We were on top, he bollocked his team and maybe made a couple
of adjustments and the rest of the half was an even affair.

Any similar delay on Friday might benefit us if Sheff U are on top at the time and a break gives Adkins a chance to have a team talk.

Can work both ways but the Forest game delay was not at a good time for the team.

We certainly weren't on top; we were abject throughout. The option to have a little talk is available to both teams of course.

    "We can't sell the club"

transl. "We overprice it so no one buys, and in the meantime we get all the parachute money. We're quids in"

They are complicating it because they support the Allams.

Let me know when they their points are deducted.<laugh>
Obviously their players aren't as easily distracted as ours. The fans whistled throughout the game instead of chanting and singing.
