Don’t do it for long enough to put teams to bed which makes it even more frustrating. Got to say I enjoyed some of our forward interplay but defensively we are piss poor.
Yeah, still something not right, no composure. No win since Boxing Day, somebody pissed on Santa's mince pie - was it you?
Well we certainly looked more balanced after the substitutions were made, Phillips divides opinion but with him and Saiz in the team the midfield link is far greater than without. De Bock didn't look as bad when Alisoki came on and that was because he wasn't being exposed as much. Saiz adds the flair and Phillips the simple pass, the simple block and playing the ball into space when nothing is on. Hernandez has impressed me this season but there is no place for him in the team when we play this formation and Saiz is fit.
We've missed Alioski and Saiz. I think the opposition need to be a bit more cautious when they're about. Pontus was gutted! Some won't agree but I think Berardi and Cooper did well too. That's unbeaten against two of the top sides if only we could do it against the **** ones.
I'm reading about how poor our defending was but Derby were ripped wide open for both our goals. They were shocking
Simple defending is not down to a set piece coach (actually don't know why you need one) just so ****ing frustrating. Doesn't matter if we 'deserved' or not, two late goals at the end of each half is criminal. Same mistake twice in one game.
We just need to pick the best players for the positions they are comfortable in. The team was hampered severly in the first half with Roofe and Vieira, it was like playing with 9 men. I personally thought Cooper had a bit of a shocker tonight and could have given away a penalty too.
I remember after a shocking start last season Bartley spoke in an interview about the importance of the change in fortune and a run of clean sheets, he put it all down to a small change made by Clotet, something the assistant implemented at defending set pieces. I just feel having a set piece coach is a joke
De Bock is a defensive nightmare...just feel Cooper gets a lot stick for the sake of it...just my opinion.
I have felt sorry for Cooper in the past, tonight wasn't one of his better games (in my opinion), Cooper and Phillips certainly divide opinion more than any other Leeds player I can remember.
Chris Powell and Rowett singing about their 25 attempts but how many actually tested the keeper? Most of them were row Z
