Since losing at home to Tottenham, the Swans have picked up 11pts from a possible 15pts, with 3 successive home victories (Liverpool, Arsenal & Burnley) and 2 consecutive away draws at Newcastle and Leicester. Whilst the Swans were beating Burnley at home, Brighton were picking up a valuable away point at Stoke which took their tally to 5pts from the last 3 games since they were thrashed 0-4 at home to Chelsea. Swansea and Brighton have played each other on 63 occasions, with the Swans winning 26, Brighton winning 15 and 22 draws. This will be Swansea's first visit to the Amex Stadium. Their last match in Brighton was in May 2008 at the Withdean Stadium - Brighton's home ground between 1999 & 2011 - when the Swans ran out 1-0 winners thanks to a 78th minute goal from Febian Brandy. The Swans' line up that day was: Dorus de Vries Angel Rangel Marcos Painter Dennis Lawrence Garry Monk Paul Anderson Tom Butler Darren Pratley Owain Tudur-Jones Guillem Bauza Jason Scotland Brandy replaced Bauza in the 74th minute and netted the winner just 4 minutes later. Turning to Saturday, my heart says that the Swans will win 1-0, but my head says 1-1.
If we are going to stay up then we must get a result from teams like this. Nothing less than a draw will suffice....
Lots of Jacks have got tickets in the home stands plus the official 2000 will roar us on to a 2-0 win
Pity the club thought it was good to send back 1000 tickets without putting them on general sale, we could have had 3000 jacks there!!
Got this horrible feeling that this is the game that ends our run - I hope not! Head say a 1-0 defeat but heart says a 1-0 win. I have always been a romantic so a narrow Swans win
We have the squad to beat anyone so if carlos gets his job right then i think we can get a result....We need to keep the run going and other teams to lose....A tall order i know but we have the momentum and if we can pull away from 3rd from bottom we will be in with a great chance...
Swans v Bradford City League Cup Final 2013 on Sky 403 now. Bloody hell - we were good. Pace, width, movement and precision!
That time for me was the best most entertaining football I have seen, Oh to be playing somewhere like that now. Will have to dream. Will bite your hand off for a point in this game.
Take a draw, even though we’re more than capable of getting the win. Just feel we’ll have to score 2 to do that, as we’ve always that tendency to give away 1...
Brighton are massively punching above their weight but we cant complain about that as we are still punching above ours....
I hate this idea, perhaps we have been punching below our weight for a long time? We are at the right level now!
Well I'm predicting a 1-2 win, for the mighty Swans, though a draw is very much on the cards, have faith we are one of the top in form teams at the minute, and Carlos is looking in no mood to stop the momentum, Up the Mighty Swans............
