What a tough draw. I'd say the toughest group, 3 giants in there :( a return to the bridge for Ballack aswell!

Between us and City we both got very hard groups. All tough places to play. Utd and the Goons got a piss group!

To be fair we have got pretty easy group stages before, last season and this season are the only exception. It only builds confidence if we top the group in time for the knock out stages :)

I rate Leverkusen a bit more consistent than Valencia and stronger in away games.
    It's an attractive group tbh.

I reckon you'll get top spot comfortably and the second place will be fought hard for by Leverkusen and Valencia.

Genk is there to provide every team with points ;-)

Nice to see Ballack returning, is he still a first choice player?
I heard that he was on the bench quite often lately and it would be something special if he'd play at the bridge since I guess that the fans liked him?!

Certainly, very very strong team are Leverkusen. A home based squad filled with German talent! I assume they'll be very difficult to beat in Germany and certainly relishing Ballacks return, I'd like to think he will start the game and maybe come off after 60 minutes as of course due to his age he won't be running around for 90 minutes like he used to!

To the former - I'd like to think so mate :D we're certainly capable of finishing top in this group, but it's going to be strenuous!

We are favourites and should go through, we have a marvellous record at the Mestallia stadium. City's group is much harder.<ok>

City's group is certainly the toughest, there are no easy games in that group. Napoli are a very good team these days, bayern are obvious quality as are villareal.

Chelseas group is tough as well but I expect them to qualify.

All that is certain is that any team can beat any other in the group, Chelsea fans remember Zurich. All teams have their Zurich moment. To me it is a pointless exercise to claim this or that group is harder or weaker as there are so many variables in football anyway. I hate when it seems people base their opinions about match ups as if football could be as simple as an equasion based on some football manager list of statistics and this is exactly what happens when people analyze champions league groups. So, to me, in essence all the groups are as hard as each other. Yes I expect Chelsea to beat Genk twice, yes Chelsea expect to beat Genk twice. Should anyone rely on it? No. Is Man.U's group easiest? Everyone is welcome to an opinion. Should anyone rely on Man. U qualifying? No. Especially the players. Of course you are all welcome to wager your money, but should you spend your winnings before the first match starts?

Hello, I just have ticket enquiry about your first CL game but didn't want to open a new thread for that so I just looked for your CL-topic.

As far as I know the general sale for the Leverkusen-game start on the 6th, but is there any way to check how many tickets have been sold already and how likely is it that the tickets will go on general sale?

    cheers

Yeah mate your right general sale starts tomorrow on the 6th. To be honest due to the clubs ridiculous Champions League ticket pricing policy this year, its probably very likely that there will be a couple of thousand tickets that end up going on general sale.
