You can sense the internal problems with Chelsea and it looks like their implosion has already started. Now we target the next vulnerable lamb, and all I see is Spurs. There is something about them that has a hidden vulnerability, a century's old weakness that comes every year on a special day, a day we all know about. It's the duty of the gunners to trigger that day this Saturday. So let's go all guns blazing and give the Spurs an all mighty spanking, one they've been used to for many many years. Let the good old days roll in even if it's one day, on St Totteringhams day.
If things continue the way they are with Chelsea, then Conte will be gone this summer. Will this also open up opportunities to buy players from them? Great summer window for me is gabbing Conte, Kante and David Luiz. Also a cheeky half price bid for Giroud back.
As long as we can beat Spurs and improve our away form we will have a chance at top 4. There's plenty of games, including big games, to go for all of the teams in the top 4 race.
bit of a pipe dream their mate. Name a club at the top let alone Chelsea who when they have lost their manager decided to sell all their best players, especially to their direct rivals in the league
Kante or someone similar would make a huge impact to our team. We have a top heavy attack without the foundation to back it at the moment.
have you seen how we operate. The manager doesn't get to decide who he buys haha. Also it'd have to be some special case of a manager to come in and decide he didn't want some of our key players like kante
Either that or an ELITE top quality CB partner for Koscielny. Someone like Hummels, Godin, Koulibali. We made an inquiry about Daniel Rugani over January (apparently) - He would have a big impact at Arsenal.
In the summer I think we may make a big CB signing. It's clear we tried to get one in January and with the forward positions covered with talented players I think we will have money to spend on CB and midfield.
Definitely. Mustafi is a good player but I think he's a poor partner for Kos. Too similar and makes for a really lightweight pairing.
It reminds me of when we had Vermaelen and Kos playing together, both good CB's in their own right, but just didn't work as a pair. Kos needs a big commanding aerial CB alongside side, as his own game is more about speed, interceptions and reading the movements of attackers to get back and block tackles.
Conte got his tactics spot on and Chelsea should have won the game if not for the defender making a mistake. This is why I would love to have Conte at Arsenal, he is a tactically astute manager that would get us competitive against the very best.
