I used to pop open a 24 pack of crisps, shrink wrap them and reduce them.

Looking back, I never did it with booze. Feel ashamed about that.

Went out and had what sounded like a weird take on surf and turf. Basically a large mixed salad with all kinds in it, covered with prawns and strips of lightly cooked steak, with a sort of Marie rose dressing on the side. Sounded intriguing and it was ****ing lovely.

Well not the peas clearly.. that would be weird.

Unless they went in cold rolled into balls then flour, dipped in egg then Panko breadcrumbs. Then fried.

Deep fried mushy balls of justice they’d be.

    I do love mushy peas.

One of the things I enjoy if I go up north as the chippys do decent gravy. Love pie and chips, mushy peas and gravy.

    Saveloy with gravy??

My Mrs is partial to a saveloy. I only like them if they’ve been cooked and sat in the keep **** warm area on the counter, as the skin goes crispy. If they make them fresh they’re ****.

Do they even sell them up your neck of the woods?

To me, saveloys are exclusive to southern knobheads and are, without exception, ****.
