Olli claims they have been working on Smith''s fitness, he certainly kept going the full 90 Saturday. Sylla isnt fit yet so I hope Smith starts with Smyth alongside him instead of Washington. If Bidwell and Robinson are injured, Baptiste will probably come in at CB, and Perch perhaps at left WB, though I'd like to see Samuel trained up to play there. Edit. Or Freeman there and Eze behind 2 strikers.
There''s a stream button on the Official''s Match Day Centre so I guess it is. I paid for the channel that has the Championship TV games show here, it has the CL too so I'll probably have that minor game on in the background too.
I'd keep Washington up front to start with as utd have some big center backs and he can pull them around a bit and knacker them allowing smyth the younger to come on around the hour mark and run them ragged...
Hope we go for the 3 points. If all are fit I'd love to see him start with the 11 we finished Saturday's game with. Think maybe Smyth may start instead of Washington, but Freeman playing wide left and Eze behind the 2 strikers is probably too hopeful.
I have been think thinking about the team and much seems to select itself. The 3:5:2 system, our midfield trio, etc. I expect the Robinson and Bidwell to be rested if they have any signs of ailments, so am similar to your thoughts: ---------------------Smithies------------------------ ----Onuoha------Baptiste--------Lynch-------- -Wszolek ---------------------------------Perch- -----Luongo---- Scowen----Freeman------- ---------------Smyth------Smith---------------- The only "surprise" may be the front two and this will be more a matter of tactics over the 90 minutes. Should we press with two faster players from the start and then bring on Smith for "the kill", or to do the converse? As we are playing away against a team challenging for a play off place, then I would not be surprised if we start with a pressing and counter attact strategy. It will be be very interesting as we have some good options. I await to see what Ollie will chose to do.
That will probably be it. Only thing I think he might change is go for Lynch on the left which he’s tried before if I recall.
Are they just not bothering to put a match preview on the official site anymore? The page still says that the match preview will appear closer to the game.
Such vaulting ambition. Les Ferdinand is observing Eddie Jones training the England rugby team today, and will have a chat with him and the England coaches after. Perhaps we’ll get a loan of Elliot Daly for the rest of the season.

Perhaps they are still celebrating last Saurday's win, three points, two goals scored and clean sheet. Why spoil a good feeling?
My belief is that Ollie will be thinking a lot about Saturday...so no Robbo, no Bidwell and no tiring of the youngsters. So he will start like this, and let the youngsters come on to stretch their legs at the end (this is a match he definately would have played Mackie in; I believe he is now treating Conor like a younger veersion of Mackie) ---------------------Smithies------------------------ ----Onuoha------Baptiste--------Lynch-------- -Wszolek ---------------------------------Perch- -----Luongo---- Scowen----Freeman------- ---------------Conor------Smith-------------- The corollary of this is Saturdays match will have Robbo, Bidwell and Smyth starting....and possibly Furlong methinks
Your thypothesis is logical and I would not be surprised by such a starting eleven. Except that Ollie likes to suprise. With Sylla injured he only has one big "target striker" and the question is, can Smith last a whole match. If not, will Ollie prefer to start or to finsh with Smith on the field?
So the attacking pairing is Washington and Smith again. I hope that some of the youngsters get a run out to impress and score goals in the 2nd half. Bidwell fit to play is s bit of a surprise for me. So minimum changes to a winning team.
