Now I know there are no easy games and anyone can beat anyone in the championship, and we should just concentrate on the next game, but anyone who has looked at our next fixtures must have considered this could be our season on the line right here and now.... We have Bolton away which on paper is winnable though they did just beat Bristol City after that we have the following 6 games.... Villa (3rd) H Bristol C (6th) A Wolves (1st) H Derby (2nd) A Sheff U ( 7th) H Preston (8th) A After these fixtures we will have a much clearer picture of of where this season is heading!
Our fans are nervous about our upcoming fixture - we have scored 7 goals in the last 2 fixtures (including 2 own goals) and got a poxy 2 points. We seem to only be able to play well for 60 minutes - score goals - then go on a 30 minute suicide mission!!!
10 points from the first 4 games - what did people expect? I thought 11 points from the 6 games would be a great result, so we're nearly there! Sheff United & Preston are very difficult games too though, so no time for complacency.
Still dubious about Sheffield Utd calling the match off 3 days early; not least when they have under soil heating. Main concern for Tuesday though is Sessegnon having, according to GJ, "pulled something" and the number of thumps Derby gave Cairney.
Targett is quality. No doubt about it. My only concern is that some of these guys leave in the summer and then back to square one. Until the summer though, I will be mainly enjoying the football and winding my brother up who is a Sheffield Wednesday fan!
