So you prefer merely playing in a competition that we won't win rather than actually win a competition?
Yep. My missus buys it. Not prominant in the "paper shops" anymore but then "paper shops" have been replaced by Tesco Expresses.
Well it’s not comparing apples with apples is it? Would I rather have 38 PL games than win a trophy that is ludicrously cheapened by how teams approach it and how it is funded and rewarded? Yes. Definitely.
Stay up for me......I fear if we got relagated it would be a long, long time before we got back up and at the end of the day I want to see my team play the best teams around. Vote is currently 31 to stay up against 29 to win the cup.
But we've got far more chance of winning a knockout competition with those teams in it than a league.
It's a tough one, but I think I'd go cup. I've seen us win the JPT and that was a fun day! But the League cup final last year was on another level. That was a special special day, and one that I will never forget. It still gives me chills up my spine to think about the atmosphere that we created that day. The pride in the performance of our team and the noise that our supporters created was immense. I cannot imagine what it would have been like had we won. One of the greatest days of my life and we lost! That's what it means to be a Saints supporter. Most Man Utd fans have probably barely given that day a thought since and they won the thing. I want to win a cup!
Yeah this pretty much. I don't really care about the money side of the club as long as we're not in trouble.
The premier league is utter bollocks Six teams will fight it out to win it and the rest of us are only there to make up the numbers.
People were saying this before Leicester won it. Now they’re still saying it, and I really don’t know why. At least one or two of the “top 6” have an off season every year, and Leicester caught the perfect storm when only Tottenham had a chance of staying with them. It could always happen again.
