We need players in the team that know the Derbys and know what they mean. Like this guy.

Maybe not enough of them in the team today. I wanted Leitner in the team today. He did nothing except from a ridiculous foul to get a yellow. Hindsight is a lovely thing, but Hoolahan in todays team instead of him. Rus Martin instead of Zimmermann. I think we would have been a lot less frantic and panic ridden first half. I think Wes and Russ would have been important vocally, on the ball, and in the dressing room. Really shows how important experience is in these games, and this league. Trying to fill a squad with mostly German 4th Division players, is a little too over the top. We need to ease players in, in stages. While still keeping players who know the club and league really well, and what is expected and what it takes in games like today.

Forgetting the game, and focusing on the result. So happy and relieved we have extended the unbeaten derby run. Such a mental weight around Ipswich and their supporters. Every game, means another few months adding to the total days since they beat us. The more we drag that out, the happier I am. I didn't feel confident at all about this game. The way we play and perform at home. Just so relieved we didn't lose.

It's hard for the midfield to create chances for the forwards when we don't seem to have anyone playing in that position. For too much of the game Oliveira spent far too much time in midfield and often behind our midfielders when we were attacking. Even his one shot on target which tested the keeper was a typical midfielders chance. As for Murphy I'm not sure whether he was playing as winger, attacking midfielder or up front alongside or in front Oliveira, I don't think I'm the only one confused, half the time he seemed to be unsure as well and ended up not playing one role well, Yes on a few occasions he did well attacking down the left, but didn't seem to do much else.

But the main reason I want to sub Oliveira & Murphy and give others a chance is, it isn't working and if something isn't working you need to change things. To continue to do the same thing over and over again when it clearly isn't working is just foolish. Both Oliveira and Murphy have been given a fair chance, it's time others were given an opportunity.

Just got home and it was no surprise that 1p5wich opened the scoring from their only attack in the 2nd half and a from a corner which came about from a wayward shot which deflected off Reed. BRILLIANT equaliser and or defence in the 2nd half was great (apart from conceding the goal).
Hanley is proving to be a superb signing and the other 2 CBs played well.
PLEASE DF, give Murphy a rest on Wednesday - he was rubbish and as several posts have mentioned, you HAVE to make subs earlier to give them a chance to make an impact and totally agree re wanting to see what Hernandez can ''bring to the party!!!'

I don't know what planet you live on, but I can only think these view are chemically induced. Leitner played pretty well considering it was his first full game, it wasn't a
ridiculous foul, it was professional and broke up a promising Ipswich attack. As for Martin playing if he had we would have lost that game by several goals. May be your memory isn't very good but the last time he played at the centre of our defence we got a hammering. Hanley is a direct replacement for Martin. If Farke hadn't made the decision that Martin wasn't up to the standard of a championship CB then we would never have bought Hanley and if we hadn't of bought Hanley we may well be in a relegation battle now.

Although I would start Oliveira against Wolves, I do think Hernandez should get a chance on Wednesday. Murphy has played a lot of games and fresh legs could make a difference.

Our chance for this season has now receded further and the new players need to be integrated into football in this league. Leitner is doing that already and Hernandez could provide pace up front, with Srbeny coming on as an impact sub, but with more time given to make a difference. There seems little to lose.

Didn't he play his first full game last week against Derby? replacing the injured Tom.

Admittedly I couldn't watch today, but Murphy seems to have had this odd role all season, where he's some hybrid of a second striker, a winger and an attacking midfielder. Whatever it's meant to be, he simply doesn't seem to be making it work, I'd say he's regressed compared to last season as a result. I'd much rather see him play a more standard winger role, where he at least knows what he's meant to be doing. Maybe Hernandez can play this role better? I'd like to see him given the opportunity to try.

What?! Leitner played well? Did you watch the game?!

As for Martin, I was talking about experienced heads in the team. If you can see into the future, or alternative time lines, then I applaud you and bow to you. That’s impressive.

    And rediculous.

Wasn't going to bite / write on your board but if you can't do the decency and call us our actual name - you'll get a bite.

Considering how much ££££ you have, jesus. I wouldn't be happy with that. First half we were ontop of you, second half sure you were by far the better side and should have scored when your bloke thought he was offside when 2 of ours played him on.

Your manager making subs on 91 at home vs a knackered side !? I just didn't get that. You have far better options - if Farke had gone for it earlier you'd have probably won.

Top 4 squad with a horrific manager with parachute payments about to end. Lets see how you do next season. Before you go on about X Y Z to me - I realise we're a shower at the minute, however we don't have parachute ££££ have spent sod all and still ahead of the most underachieving side on goal difference in the division - yourselves.

“We have no money”. “We are in serious debt” . “We have no funds and have to sell anyone”.

Why don’t you understand this and expect more of us!? It’s not like we have had any Premiership funds! We are struggling with the rest of you. Begging for pennies. Some of our players have been recruited from the streets, just so we have a 2nd striker in our squad!

It’s alright for you! With your 3 or 4 striker options! We can’t all compete with your spending power! We are just doing what we can to survive!

It must have been awful for them, but they would have been on here gloating like mad if it hadn't been for Hanley and Klose - at least we've found our new attack! :emoticon-0105-wink:

Sorry JMF, but my MotM was Hanley. He was excellent at both ends throughout and without him we'd have lost. Madders has kept up an unbelievable consistency throughout the season, but Hanley just edged him for me.
