So hows the striker debate going? The Lassoga deal doesnt have a buy option because Leeds didnt want to be tied to it. Ohil Hay and Kinear and some German newspapers have stated that Hamburg prefer to sell him and the end of his loan for £2m as it will reduce their debt by almost £3m

Has any ody checked the Stats for Woods first season with us? Apparently (means I havent checked) Lassoga is way ahead of Wood in assists, attempts, shots on target and goals. So if the lad can score another 10 before the end of the season and we get a chance buy him cheap and he accepts a big deop in his existing £50k per week. Whats not to like.

Think todays first half shows that it makes no difference if you have Lee Chapman playing up top if he never gets the ball or a decent cross. Both strikers put themselves about but chasing shadows.

2nd half at long last a cross came in from Pablo and Lassoga put it away, another cross soon after and Lassoga gets a head on to Roofe who scores a tap in. Strikers need crosses or balls to get on the end of. lassoga got a cross last week from Pablo and he scored agreat goal from it.

Unfortunatley crosses and balls to feet have been limited until PH took over. Lassogas goals have in the main been created by himself

Wish Ekuban could get off the mark

Ekuban yesterday showed pace and power but found it tough in the first half chasing around hoping to get the ball. He tackled back and won the ball and was penalised for unfairly getting the ball. The lad shows commitment to the cause but how can he score if he gets no service. That first 45 yesterday showed the problem we've had all season, nothing for the strikers to get on the end of. Yes in the 2nd half Pablo started crossing and we got 2 goals from crosses, but by that time Ekuban had been replaced by Roofe who scored almost straight away.

Watching Ekuban earler before he got injured he did get chances and failed, but since hes come back hes had no real chances. He looks the part but he needs to score. Somehow, if he does he may get a bag full. If he doesnt ....
