Quite rightly so the police have arrested her on public order offences... https://news.sky.com/story/woman-arrested-over-angry-note-to-ambulance-11257411
They should publish her full name and address somewhere and let everyone know what a ****bag she is .....
Anyone see the thing about the young lad who suffers from seizures and has been using medicinal cannabis in the US to great effect - 21 day seizure free - and is now being denied the chance to have the same treatment due to UK law. Isn't it about time we changed this and allowed it for medicinal use? There's plenty of evidence oof it helping for a variety of conditions and yet we still don't allow it for no other reason seemingly than an ill informed 'drugs are bad'. Thoughts?
You may have missed a word out. Is that medicinal cannabis? Saw the story this morning with a comment from the government saying that it’s medicinal values were unproven. Yet a Tory MP’s husband has a cannabis farm to grow weed for the pharma industry, and said MP is refusing to allow cannabis growing to be regulated for others to grow for medicinal use. Or, in other words, she has a conflict of interests and is protecting her husband’s income.
People seem in general to get very possesive over the bit of road outside their house. I've had two different neighbours thumping on my door recently asking if I owned the car parked outside their property, I didn't. I actually don't really care if our car is parked a few doors away, but to some it seems to inspire frantic behaviour. The concept of a public highway seems to elude them. Also the idea of actually parking their car in the garage provided appears to be a step too far. Mind you my garage is firmly reserved for motorcycles.
A couple of years ago I needed to run an errand, but couldn’t find a parking space. Eventually I found a space, where a car was parked in a garden, BUT there wasn’t a dropped kerb. Normally I would have driven by, but because of needing to run the errand, which took less than half an hour, I parked in that space. When I returned to my car a note had been left under my wiper, telling me that I shouldn’t have parked there. Red rag to a bull. I was just about to knock the house door, when it opened and I told the resident a few home truths about the laws and “If you don’t want people to park outside your house, leave your car on the road, or pay for a dropped kerb to be installed”. I also pointed out that they had absolutely no right to touch my car, let alone leave snotty notes on it. I have definitely reached that grumpy stage of life.
It's disgraceful. We have a family friend who has been diagnosed with MS for over 20 years. She's tried plenty of pain relief medicine as well as natural alternative sources and the only thing that's helped is cannabis. The law is outdated and as St Badger has alluded to often those in power have conflicted interests or are just plain hypocrites. There's also mounting evidence in the use of Psilocybin for those with severe depression but the political powers in charge are unfortunately still in the dark ages.
It's incredibly frustrating. A person suffering from a deliberating illness should not be forced to feel like a criminal when taking a drug whose side effects are minor at best, especially when compared to tobacco and alcohol. There are also arguments to be made for the safe use of ecstasy in aiding mental disorders but again any fair discussion with our government fails at the first hurdle.
Very interesting column about how legalising cannabis, in some American states, is reducing crime. https://www.mirror.co.uk/lifestyle/health/arguments-legalising-marijuana-growing-not-12052922
https://uk.news.yahoo.com/pictured-...-abusive-note-posted-ambulance-084541422.html The woman who abused ambulance staff and posted a note on their vehicle has been fined. This little charmer has already got a retraining order against her for upsetting the same neighbour.
