Tbf you'd have the same advantage as us in terms of finding a buyer... cheap outlay for a club with a big fanbase for the level, stadium academy etc. and a good opportunity to make profit.

Through years of mismanagement. Employing random solicitors to board room level and taking bad advice. Giving large transfer fees to the likes of Fletcher, Johnson, Gordon, Rodwell, N'Dong and many others without any of them really firing consistently. We brought a player from Inter on loan and ****ed up the contract so we had to buy him, cost us about 8 million quid, he was injured while here and then signed for somebody else yet we paid the fee. We have also had really bad players on stupidly high wages and quite a few times we've had to subsidise their wages at their new club just so they'd transfer out. The football club has small arms too, it has never seemed to reach out and properly engage with the supporters and potential supporters outside of Sunderland, so we have very little revenue.
Saf - my friends would tell you and i've been pretty public about it to, that I've always sworn that IF my club ever in the unlikely event got to the Prem, i would stop watching them play. One of the worst things that ever happened to my club is when it went up to the Championship, it brought with it a new generation of young glory hunters, and even today we are still saddled with some of the moaners. And your club along with many others that have passed through the League One is a typical example why i feel that way. The day we all stop living the Premiership dream is the day we get our clubs back. You may have noticed i'm proud to be a lower league side
I do understand why you feel like that because of the way football has gone. You only have to see the atmosphere in Premiership games, it's mostly dreadful because of the prawn eaters and tourists, but the other side of the coin is you saying that if your club build up some momentum and became successful through hard work, then you would walk away from them? We've been to league one before, though. We were mainly a Championship club when I was growing up, so it's not like we are some big time charlies. I don't mind going to league one, if that's what happens. I'd still rather be watching the best players in the world gracing the SOL rather than the dross that plays every week, in this league.
Sadly at League One level no matter how hard you work you cannot build up momentum without spending huge sums of money. I would use Wolves as an example, I was there the day they thrashed us 4-0, we just could not compete no matter how hard we worked and i don't want my club to be spending huge sums of money on players. I gave Wigan as another example this season away. When we can get clubs on our own turf it's a different story, then it does not matter how good you are, we will do everything possible to make the visitors bottle it and the players will find that extra adrenaline, they know it is expected at home, you give blood, we carry no one even if you were a freebie. My biggest worry is Scally wanting a new ground, although been promised in the pipeline for years. The land is ready, the plans are sorted, but it still remains a dream without a financial backer, personally i think it will saddle us with a big white elephant, but unfortunately i cannot stop progress. Your attendances appeared to double when you moved from Roker Park but did it leave you with debt?
Some of the football in League 1 is surprisingly good. Not nearly as agricultural as I expected it to be, despite several of the pitches being ploughed fields.
