I think most players will go down if the 'opportunity' arises, i.e they've felt some contact. But the difference with Alli is that he goes looking for it in almost every game. Also he will dive even when there is no contact, deliberately trying to con the ref. It's cheating in the worst way possible really. I hope he gets a long ban at some point, because currently nobody is pulling him up for it. I want him to go to the WC and perform for England and I want him to cut this **** out before he gets there.
Deflecting from what? An Arsenal fan moaning about someone else's player diving, when he admits that he didn't? Why would I deflect from that? I'm laughing at your ridiculous hypocrisy. The Spurs fans on this forum all condemn Alli's dives. I've seen nothing from you about Arsenal doing it every week.
If you'd read my comment properly instead of swinging your handbag around, then you would have seen that I said it was a pen, but Alli still threw himself to the ground theatrically, and raised the question again about his incessant diving antics. Instead you went off on one posting videos about Emmanuel ****ing Eboue
Not upset, just making my assumptions based on the evidence I have to work with. I like everybody, what you choose to be and do in your own home is none of my business.
There's a case to argue though that it's their attitude that makes them great players. They have a fire in them that not many players have and in Alli's instance, he's a cocky and sly **** but that confidence/ arrogance is what allows him to do some special stuff on the pitch. While I'd love for him to cut out the diving, I'd never really want him to change much else because his personality is partly what allows him to be such a good player.
