There's some out there stealing a living..... Llorente and Rose particularly. Winks has gone backwards [it makes a change from sideways] and Sonny just needs to ****ing shoot. We won't make changes at half time.....but we bloody need to. The Clash, 'Complete Control' at half time. Can we buy their PA people?
Rochdale have been superb, they have played some fantastic fooball at times. We, on the otherhand have been awful. Second to virtually every ball, out muscled, out fought and out run. As others have said Trippier and Lucas have done well, Foyth has looked good on the ball too. Alderweireld just isnt 100%, Rose looks disinterested. Wanyama sloppy, Winks Over thinking things, Son and Llorente seem obsessed in walking the ball into the net. In fact Llorente is just awful, so slow and ponderous. Sissoko well its just Sissoko. Looks like we are going to need saving again by Kane and co.
Poch needs to kick some arse at half time this is exactly why I said start with the first team get the game won and then make subs ffs. There's a few of our players out there that seriously need to look at themselves
You have to say they scored a damn good goal. League One is tough. There is little to choose between top and bottom. Teams have to be organised and competitive for 90 minutes. Nobody gets any time on the ball. Games are won by moments of inspiration - or by stringing a few passes together. This is being played out like a typical League One game.
Other than for match fitness, no point as you are not playing with many of your squad colleagues. These FA Cup performances are purely technical and attitude, nothing to do with fitness (which is the issue) .
1st attempt 9 mins into second half...a pea roller to the keeper. what is Pochettinowaiting for...changes are needed now or this team will make history big time!
There’s been several cup games where our “squad players” have come into the fold and our whole footballing identity seems to vanish. Some of these players’ performances are carried by other first teamers. They look well and truly exposed when they don’t have them holding their hand. Whilst we have quite a deep squad when all are fit, our next step needs to be upgrading 2 or 3 players as we move into the new ground and try to push to the next level. There have to be better players out there (of even in the youth set up) that can prevent these kind of performances, that we’ve seen time and time again.
