Literally the whole team from the Juve game rested. It’ll be interesting to see how Moura impacts the team today. Normally when seeing so many wholesale changes like that the team struggles to find momentum and looks rusty. Both him and a son will need blinders today, I feel. At least the team looks much more balanced than it has in the past when we’ve made so many changes, though.
From the BBC Posted at15:00 Keith Hill and Mauricio Pochettino have scribbled out their teamsheets and handed them to the ref. Let's find out whose in and whose not... Really? "Whose in and whose not"...from our national broadcaster? Jeez.
What this game needs is a completely random formation change that further confuses the players who are used to being played in different positions and roles ...he says, expecting to see the team playing a 433 within ten minutes
Sissoko . Looking forward to seeing our new signing start .let's hope he gets off to a blinder and sets up lorrente. ..if he's up for it. COYS
Played for both. David Button, Andy Turner, Don McAllister, George Hunt (138 goals for Spurs), Sid Hoad, John Hall, Kevin Dearden, Charlie Briggs, Ted Birnie
Eternal to me cos of the winning goal he scored at WHL in the 1978 Div 2 top of the table showdown against Bolton (who AFAIK had Fat Sam playing) .
Some of these players really need to step it up and show what they're worth, today. It's clearly a strong starting lineup, but there's a number of them haven't played much recently or haven't played well. Hopefully it won't be a silly system or formation and they can get the job done.
CL games and possible FA Cup slot at stake for some players. For the likes of Sissoko, ever decreasing game time to show your national manager you are worthy of a WC squad slot.
When Donny Mac first turned up, he sat with Terry 'Meathook' Naylor before training. Terry said.... "So, you're our new defender? Come to take my place have you? Supposed to be a bit nippy, aren't you?" Don says: "Yeah, I guess so." [he wasn't.] Terry replies: "Here's a pound. Nip off and get me a sandwich."
