It's the total disrespect that the players have shown, in their desperate position that to me speaks volumes about the control at Pardew doesn't have. Curfew at midnight and they were still out at 5.30am. Who drove and was he sober? What if there'd been an accident? Those players have stolen a car - there might be a prosecution - could be jail that follows.
Hey the man has skills: It's fake by the way, he actually performing at the boules. Still funny though.
Can you remember when Craig Bellamy took a golf club to John Arne Riise? Can you remember Benitez did? He put him in the team for the next game, defended him. Can you remember when Bellamy acted up at Newcastle? Robson blamed the rest of the team for the incident and put him straight in for the next game. Sometimes you do the opposite to what the average man or fan expects. Why? Because you know that player knows you stuck your neck out for him and he now owes you. That’s true management rather than punishing people, ostracising them or treating them like naughty school boys.
You guys are so amateur compared to greats like Pards, Benitez and Sir Bobby. They know how players tick.
This is like saying when Benitez made Newcastle worse because they were not heading for relegation when he took over. The nosedive wasn’t reversible but it wasn’t Benitez fault. Same for Pards. If he keeps them up he has performed a minor miracle.
Not heading for relegation?? Rafa’s record for the end of the relegation season P 10 W 3 D 4 L 3 6 match unbeaten run for end of season. Now let’s have a look at Pards record at WB. #liesdamnedliesandpouchysstatistics
Yeah, exactly like that. I remember distinctly both Liverpool and Newcastle mired in relegation trouble at the time, with £120m TV money at stake. In particular Liverpool went on to beat Barca intheir next game, with a goal from Bellend, and won 2-0 to survive. Or am I getting a bit muddled....
We were 18th or 19th with a game in hand that would have taken us up to 15th or 16th if won. The point is it wasn’t Rafas fault as the downward spiral was well entrenched - just like it was at West Brom. Rafa gave it a good go. I’m sure Pards will too. But you’re fighting against the tide.
Uncomfortable isn’t it? You mock Pards for dealing with unprofessional behaviour in exactly the same way as two people you revere like Benitez and Robson. The contradiction of Newcastle supporters summed up in one thread.
Very different scenarios. Rafa has far better players at his disposal. Better off comparing them at Newcastle. Pards never relegated, took them into Europe. We will see how Rafa does.
How different? At the time they took over their respective Clubs were on a downward spiral. Both Clubs had / have poor players at the relevant time. Rafa had an impact. Pards hasn’t. Simples. Anything else is just excuses and whitewash. Just have to realise Pards isn’t as good as you thought.
All I know is we have supporters on here spouting how he is joke for dealing with unprofessional behaviour in the same way as out current manager and a footballing great in Sir Bobby Robson. So they must think Rafa and Sir Bobby are a joke. Or they are hypocrites. Those are the only two options. I love exposing all this by the way in case you hadn’t realised.
