. We really need a falling about laughing emoji on here. I really think it's time enough for fans to waste their time speculating about 18/19 season strikers after the 17/18 season is over, mean time get behind the players we've got and support the club. How do you know we'd get Lasogga for £2m Doc? Everything on this thread is presented as fact, but none of it is. Why are we so quick to give strikers the shove when they invariably come back to haunt us,and are sh@t hot elsewhere? I believe Roofe has a role to play for the next season at least. Finally, why do you think it matters what we think anyway? Radrizzani is not on trial, despite what some say - he owns the club and can do whatever the feck he likes with it, including walking away. He's the best we've had in 15 years. I think we sometimes get a bit carried away with ourselves on here, in the end we have absolutely no influence on how any given owner will run the club. This is the toned down version.
You joking right. The paying customer can always exert pressure on an owner no matter what their pr machine says. If he starts tanking money something will change...
Bollocks. The majority are buying into his investment and approach to rebuilding the club, and rightly so - I'm seeing no huge Rads Out movement, quite the opposite. People are fed up with the rip it up and start again approach of successive chancers, and want continuity and gradual strengthening. The siren squeals on here are from those who have no vision or aren't prepared to give anybody a chance, not just Radz.
The season ticket holders that got mugged this year by false promises will be less gullible next year. The casual supporter is already voting with their feet and you can get any number of tickets for tomorrow if you want one. 7000 less through the gate is about £320k less ticket income than last week. Plus there will be plenty of st holders not there tomorrow they will still be counted in the attendance figure but won’t be spending in the bars and shop... the honeymoon is over, the unrest will soon start if he don’t get a grip.
Be interesting to see if the gate's down 7000 tomorrow then - that should equate to about 24000, even with the season ticket holders counted who don't go. Won't happen, more bollocks.
Season ticket holders get counted even if they don’t go. Expect about 28000 as the attendance we have 21500 st holders, 500 coming from brizzle. Schools have been given 2000 free tickets. Don’t be an apologist for failure and pr bollix.
Check back in tomorrow after Rads team of gutless talentless foreign ****e see us beaten again. We are ****e and I still care enough to be sick of it. You either don’t care enough or have low standards...
Will do - I'm sure if we do get beaten again, you'll be delighted to hail it as the final nail in the LUFC coffin, and it will be for this year in terms of going up. Problem is, irrespective of who we buy, who owns us or who goes to ER or stays away, it might be the same this time next year, and remember, we have no automatic right to go up in any case. So, anybody who isn't prepared to accept that FACT and still follow the team regardless might as well get lost. No guarantees in this game, and for what it's worth, I think the Championship is a better league on all fronts anyway.
The point I am obviously failing to make is that despite all the spin and the arrival of the new messiah we are worse in the only place that matters than last year.... If we arnt progressing we are failing.
Striker to keep an eye on - Devante Cole (Man U legend Andy Cole's son) Only 22 years old and has 10 for Fleetwood so far this season (20th in League 1) Very quick and good in the air too - will be a top player in a few years!!
That's not true. No one progresses continually in a consistent upward curve, which appears to be your measure of success. There will be ups and downs, and we need to be ready to accept both. If we consolidate this year and go up next, that's progress, but there are no guarantees and relentless bleating about our current position doesn't help.
Okay, let's accept you're completely right. Who / what do you want in place of the current set-up? How is it achievable? Are there people out there (with more money) ready to step in (do you know of any)? I'm ready or change if you have anything tangible to replace what we have, if not it's all just hot air.
Here is a very toned down version bellend. Where in thishave I criticised the club or Radz? And as far as the £2m quid for Lassoga goes use google YEP and also Kinnear. The original loan deal was that Leeds take him on loan and Hamburg pay majority of hos wages, we get an option to buy him for £2m in the Summer as the deal with the loan and cash at the end saves them millions. The comment made by Phil Hay was that we would get a 20m striker in UK terms for less than £3m...maybe you shoul djust put me ignore mate
Calm down Doc As for Lasogga - his £50K per week is too steep for any Championship Club that doesn't receive parachute payments!!
I never said you critisised the club or Radz, Doc - others do. I said you presented speculation as fact. Put up a link to the £2m buy clause and the terms of the loan deal, I must have missed it. My understanding was there was no automatic right to buy Lasogga.
You don't have a right to buy him so no link available https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co...g-keep-tabs-on-loan-striker-lasogga-1-8799970 "The loan deal agreed between Hamburg and Leeds, however, did not include an option giving United the right to sign him at the end of this season."
