I am in a place with bad signal, and wondered who the videos were about. But now I know the guy you mean!
I think it's a bit harsh to call a guy, clearly with difficulties enjoying himself ' a nob '. I actually think ' good on him ' for doing something good for him - which requires a lot of effort and yes - okay - clearly he's chatting absolute toss but he's enjoying himself. Little sad to laugh at someone like that, but there we go each to their own. If you had a fun wired up like Ipswich Crazy, I wouldn't knock them.
We have gone over this tons of times the guy is putting it on and is not actually mentally disabled. Anyone that videos themselves and uploads it to YouTube is inviting people to laugh at them .
I actually have a little respect for him, pretty much for the reasons you highlighted. He is a genuine and passionate ITFC fan (and local to the town) and football fan in general and can be pretty reasonable with his post-match ramblings, though obviously remains a little biased as all fans often do.
He was called Brian and that call was one of the funniest things I've heard, his timing is just perfect. His mother, Doris, from Melton, she's 85 now. Best bit is the finish where the Radio Suffolk guy says 'nice talking to you Brian' and he replies 'Nice talking to you too Stewart', Stewart White was the presenter on the equivalent show on Radio Norfolk. I can probably find a link if you want to hear it again.
As you Ipswich fans started a thread about him. Here is his message after the game. As usual, he is on the wind up, and talking sh*t. Sometimes I do like him, and like things he says. Sometimes he is blunt, and I agree. He is way more positive and confident than I am, but I like that at times. Most of the time, it's this sort of stuff. Which I find embarrassing. Too often too arrogant, too rude, too much talking sh*t.
